Lufthansa Group’s Discover Airlines has officially announced its entry into Scotland with two new direct routes operating out of GLA for Summer 2027

Both routes will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft. While Discover is primarily positioned as the leisure branch within the group, integrating these flights into Lufthansa’s main booking channels and interline network restores crucial 1-stop global connectivity via FRA. It also provides a direct inbound tourism link into the West of Scotland.
In the battle to rebuild market share against Edinburgh, securing 6x weekly frequencies to a primary European mega-hub is a huge step in the right direction.

- Munich (MUC): Launches May 16, 2027 — up to 2x weekly
