Well, well, well.... Who do we see in the top 5 Emirates desitnations for A380s this summer? "Heathrow, Cairo, Paris CDG, Johannesburg, and Manchester are due to be the top-five A380 routes for Emirates this coming season"

Even stranger,,,

"Based on total seats, Emirates’ top-10 A380 airports were:
  1. Heathrow (with nearly 80% more seats than #2)
  2. Bangkok
  3. New York JFK
  4. Paris CDG
  5. Hong Kong
  6. Auckland
  7. Jeddah
  8. Sydney
  9. Manchester
  10. Gatwick"

The Emirates A380 will be back at Manchester tommorow. ETA-12:05 ETD-14:05

According to SeanM1997 on twitter Emirates should be reintroducing their 3rd daily A380 flight to DXB from MAN with the start of the winter timetable from 30th October.

Aeroroutes: Emirates pull the A380 from the daily morning flight, from July 1, 2023 until September 30, 2023 when assumedly the A380 returns on the morning flight.
This leaves:
EK21/22 - 0745/0950 - daily 2 class 777-300ER
EK17/18 - 1200/1405 - daily A380-800
EK19/20 - 1915/2115 - daily A380-800

Aeroroutes.com reports that Emirates will deploy 4 class A380 including Premium Economy from LHR on all six daily flights from December whilst Manchester will have 4 class on EK17/18 from next March.

The latest Emirates update on aeroroutes.com shows MAN back to two daily 2 class A380 plus one 3 class. EK21 is 3 class in January and EK17 is still listed as 4 class from March.

777 on morning flight through Oct 1st, believe it’s a mix of the seasonal drop in demand (who in God’s name wants to go to Dubai in August!) and to retrofit the A380 fleet with premium economy.

Premium economy 380s expected from March on the afternoon flight IIRC

EK29 diverted from LHR due crosswinds but planned alternates were STN and the GLA. Ended up in GLA. Not sure why MAN and BHX not in the mix.

They’ll have gone where they were told. maybe BHX and MAN either couldn’t accept it or the weather was just as bad so didn’t take chances.

Hi, trying to decide some travel plans for late October this year. Can anyone confirm the likely configuration (2/3 class) of EK17/18 by the end of that month. Many thanks.

EK18 is showing as three class through SeatGuru. Might be worth doing a dummy booking to view the seatmap
17/18 will also be moving to 4 class (Premium Economy) from March

Although this is still showing on the Emirates timetable data from flight radar has it going to LHR rather than MAN.

On the EK Skycargo freighter schedules, I can only see 2 x weekly flights to LHR.

Sat. arr. 13.50. dep. 17.50
Wed. arr. 14.00. dep. 17.50

EK 9943 and 9944. What were the MAN flight numbers?

Is there any reason why MAN flights wouldn't show in the schedules, or is there some other doc. where they do still appear?
Do the LHR flights shown operate at present? If not, have slots suddenly been found?

Looking back at the post on X by SPD Travels of 27 May, the MAN flight No. is EK9940 dep. 12.50 and is via BRU. That suggests it's quite separate from the LHR flights.

EK9940 which is the MAN flight is now shown as going to LHR rather than MAN on FR.

Hmmm. On here as well.

We'll just have to see where it lands up.

(just wanted the link but I can't delete the ad. Sorry if it's against the rules).

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
