rather than the old bmi lounge, it seems to be a barriered off area in that corridor which links t3 and t1.

So not moving to T2 anytime soon. So much for by May!

well it was supposed to be april/may, but i think we can safely say that it has been postponed - hence the need for this pop up lounge arrangement once the escape closes today. the cremours suggest maybe not until september now.

In preparation for the terminal move overnight, BA1404 will be parking on 103 this evening, BA1406 planned for 901.

Hope this ends the speculation of BA not using bridges anymore…

haha. yes terminal change tomorrow to t2. the two nightstopppers are parking at t2, but everyone (crew and passengers) as well as bags are being bussed to t3 to use domestic arrivals for one final time.

tomorrow it is full departure and arrivals in t2. the arrival process is the aircraft park on a3 and a5, and passengers will be bussed to the bus arrival point where there is a segregated UK domestic arrivals route.

Just been sent this email from British Airways regards my arrival into Manchester on Sunday night.

A message from British Airways about your BA1378 flight to Manchester

Dear Customer,

We’re looking forward to flying you to Manchester.
We want to make sure you’re aware that your experience arriving into the terminal building will be different from what you’d normally expect. Manchester Airport is undergoing a major £1bn investment programme. British Airways now operates from the new Terminal 2. While work to upgrade Departures is complete, work is now underway on the Arrivals section of the terminal, which will affect your arrival. We’ll need you to bear with us.
Your aircraft will park away from the terminal building, and customers will be taken by bus to the terminal. Disembarkation will require the use of stairs. If you need extra assistance, please let us know now and no later than 48 hours before departure – at Manage My Booking.
From your aircraft arrival at the gate to reaching the baggage hall may take approximately 20 minutes, so please allow extra time when arranging onward travel.
This temporary arrival process will remain in place until works are completed.
We’re looking forward to offering you the full experience at our home terminal in Manchester in due course.
Thank you for your understanding.
Warm regards,
British Airways

the email dates from when they were using the temporary bus drop off points between october and april. now the permanent domestic drop off point is being used so the wording isn't really correct. and other than one of the nightstoppers, BA parks on the normal contact gates and not away from the terminal.

and no there is no plan to have an internal segregated domestic arrival route in T2, this is the permanent solution - so look forward to a nice long bus ride, then a protracted internal walking route to get landside.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
