From their website;

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe today announces a massive expansion at its Luton base, with the addition of four Airbus A320 aircraft to its Luton fleet by June 2018.

The allocation of four more Airbus A320 aircraft, each equipped with 186 seats, brings the total number of aircraft in Wizz Air’s Luton fleet to five, with a combined value of $500 million*, continuing Wizz Air’s phenomenal growth story in the UK.

Over the past twelve months (to 31 October 2017) WIZZ has carried more than 5.5 million passengers on its Luton routes alone, an increase of 11% compared to 2016, making WIZZ the second largest carrier at Luton airport. Wizz Air is expanding its capacity at Luton by 15% year on year, and will offer in 2018 more than 6.9 million seats on its 46 routes to 20 countries.

As a result of this significant expansion, WIZZ is delighted to offer five new routes to UK travellers looking for their next adventure abroad. Daily flights will operate to the beautiful cities of Larnaca in Cyprus, and to Bratislava in Slovakia, whilst four flights per week will operate to Tallinn, in Estonia and three flights per week to Tirana in Albania and Lviv in Ukraine. Seats on the new routes are already on sale and can be booked from just GBP 26.99 at wizzair.com.

Tromso is an odd one for them to attempt! Backed by a Northern Arctic cruise maybe?

Wizz Air confirmed there will be "enhanced" health and safety measures amid the pandemic.

Cabin crew will be required to wear masks and gloves on all flights and will distribute sanitising wipes for passengers, the airline said in a statement.

New distancing measures will also be introduced during boarding and aircraft will be disinfected overnight, while passengers will also be required to wear face masks and onboard magazines will be removed from the aircraft.

Customers will be asked to check in and make any additional payments for services - such as additional bags - online to reduce physical interaction at the airport.

Passengers will also be "encouraged" to make any on-board purchases using contactless payment methods, the Hungarian-owned airline said.

Wizz Air had already resumed a handful of flights from London Luton Airport to selected airports in Hungary, Portugal, Spain and Israel, from May 1.

They are Faro, Zante, Rhodes, Heraklion, Cofu and Marrakesh ( From Oct )

Interesting move by Wizz at Luton could they follow elsewhere in the UK to the likes of Faro and the Greek islands or is it a case of Luton is home over here and these flights are simply slot fillers.

Maybe seeing how LTN goes then expand to their other UK sites , DSA LPL etc. There are opportunities at both I just mentioned where routes have been lost or moved.

Probably taking advantage of the fact that no other airlines are currently flying, certainly easyJet isn't at Luton (or anywhere).

We can say its the big three loco's now not just the boys in blue and the orange brigade, Wizz are starting to arrive on the Med and more in a bigger and bigger way .

Wizz are just building and building its a matter of time before some of these routes find a way to other UK airports Wizz operate from. Maybe they will see how the pandemic plays out this winter and in to the early part of next year before rolling out some of these routes from Luton elsewhere for summer 2022.

Latest new route is Palermo (3 weekly from June) from their newly announced base there.

There have probably been many other schedule changes since the last post on this thread but it’s difficult to keep track of all of them.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
