[textarea]More Manx2: New Flights Boost Island's Links with Belfast

Manx2.com is launching a new timetable in a bid to grow business links between Belfast and the Isle of Man.

From this month, flights will leave Belfast International Airport at 8.30am every weekday and return from Ronaldsway Airport in the Isle of Man at 5.45pm every evening. Additional flights will operate on Monday, Friday and Sundays and for this summer, Manx2.com will also be launching a Saturday service on the route.

Fares start from £29.95 and in February, every passenger travelling to Belfast International will have complimentary access to the Rendezvous lounge at Ronaldsway.

Chairman Noel Hayes said, "This new visitor-friendly timetable has been designed to encourage better links between Belfast and the Isle of Man and to encourage more people to travel. These new flight times are ideal for both the business and leisure traveller. We also fly to and from Belfast City three times a day, seven times a week.

"We are committed to the success of this route and to support this, we now have an aircraft and crew based at Belfast International.

"As Chairman, I take a personal interest in every aspect of my company’s service. With Manx2, you will enjoy a personal service right from the start as we pride ourselves on our customer service and the product we offer. We hope that all elements of our service and offering contribute to giving our passengers a wonderful experience on Manx2 and in turn see them fly with us again."

The airline experienced a record-breaking year in 2009 by carrying more than 100,000 passengers.

Manx2.com employs 60 staff and has a fleet of seven aircraft providing up to 30 flights a day to the Isle of Man. Its customer services, reservations and operations departments are all based in the new hangar facility at Ronaldsway Airport.

Manx2.com is proud to be a small Isle of Man based company carrying 100,000 passengers a year between the Isle of Man and Blackpool, Belfast, Leeds Bradford, East Midlands, Newcastle, Gloucester and Jersey. It has recently been voted the Island’s best small company for the second time in three years at the annual Isle of Man Newspapers Excellence Awards.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
