Stansted the fastest growing major airport in Europe handing nearly 23 million passengers a year?

I hope it's not the airline that has come up with this because if it is I dread to think what their research on passenger demand is like.

STN currently handles 19.8 mppa and in the past twelve months its passenger numbers have fallen by 9.6%. In the UK alone LHR and LGW have fared much better with falls of 0.4% and 3.8% respectively in the same period.

A fuel stop both ways and on a B 738. On the face of it this doesn't appear to be the most attractive proposition flying transatlantic from the London area.

I've used MSP as a US gateway but that's from a provincial UK airport where choice was limited using KLM and its then partner Northwest via Amsterdam.

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
