[textarea]CityJet is Europe’s most punctual airline

London City Airport-based CityJet has been named Europe's most punctual airline by Flightstats.com. The Docklands airport's largest airline, part of the Air France / KLM group, had an on-time performance rate of 93.26 percent during the summer months, achieving a 100 percent punctuality score on some routes.

CityJet's winter schedule is due to commence on October 31, which will involve some minor timetable alterations. While some of the most successful routes are being extended, others will see capacity adjusted to reflect levels of demand. The airline will also launch additional flights to Deauville and Brive, two popular French destinations, in the wake of high demand for the services.

[textarea]CityJet launch transfer facility at London City Airport

CityJet has introduced a Direct Transfer Facility at its London City Airport hub, Travelmole reports. The move is in response to the increasing number of CityJet customers connecting via London City to destinations across its European network.

Passengers with onward connections at London City can proceed straight to the new CityJet Transfer Desk located just next to UK Border Control. They will then be quickly escorted through border control and security before being taken directly to the departure lounge or appropriate gate for their next flight.

Passengers with connecting flights can also check in their baggage directly to their final destination from their departure airport.

New route to Dresden beginning in March. I've been on Skyscanner and found some fares from DRS to LCY for as little as £38. This is quite an interesting development, as DRS is very poorly served from the UK, it is my most frequent destination in Germany, so this is an interesting option.

Mmh, sounds interesting! Especially since Dresden isn't too far away from Berlin, where I have friends. Nonetheless DRS alone is totally worth a visit. And 38 quid is a real bargain.
