Another summer to remember for LLA London Luton Airport (LLA) enjoyed another busy summer, welcoming over 2.3 million passengers over the school holidays (Monday 22nd July - Monday 2nd September). Friday 23rd August was LLA’s busiest day of the summer, with over 60,000 passengers passing through the airport. 'In the bag' - quicker security checks at LLA Passengers travelling through London Luton Airport (LLA) no longer need to remove liquids and electronic items from their bags as they pass through security, following the successful roll-out of next generation security scanners. The completion of the £20 million project positions LLA as one of the first major airports to complete the roll-out in time for the busy summer holidays. LLA opens new Express Drop Off

LLA opens new Express Drop Off London Luton Airport (LLA) has opened a new Express Drop Off zone to provide an even more convenient option for passengers looking to be dropped off directly in front of the terminal entrance. The new Express Drop Off will operate 24 hours a day, alongside alternative free and paid-for drop off and pick up areas available in LLA’s Terminal Car Park 1 (TCP1), Mid Stay and Long Stay car parks. LLA & Wizz lead the way with new generation fleet London Luton Airport (LLA) has confirmed all Wizz Air aircraft based at the airport are now quieter, more fuel-efficient Airbus A321 Neos. The announcement follows an agreement between both parties to introduce the new generation aircraft a year earlier than originally planned.
