LLA & Wizz lead the way with new generation fleet London Luton Airport (LLA) has confirmed all Wizz Air aircraft based at the airport are now quieter, more fuel-efficient Airbus A321 Neos. The announcement follows an agreement between both parties to introduce the new generation aircraft a year earlier than originally planned. LLA launches 2024 Greener Future Fund

LLA launches 2024 Greener Future Fund London Luton Airport (LLA) has launched its 2024 Greener Future Fund, inviting applications from local groups and organisations looking to support biodiversity and tackle carbon reduction through education and innovation projects. London Luton tops table for ‘next-generation' aircraft More flights at London Luton Airport (LLA) were operated using quieter, more fuel efficient “next generation” aircraft this summer compared to all other major European airports. Data gathered from aviation intelligence and data specialist RDC Aviation, shows that between April and August 2023, more than a third (33.5%) of all flights from LLA were operated using Airbus neo or Boeing Max variants, reducing emissions by up to 20%.
