Hi there Brumx, I understand you're theory about easyJet, by making Geneva as all year round is not a little expansion at all, all it means that once seasonal stops in late September, it will now be a continuous instead. But expansion means adding new routes which is what easyJet wont do because it stated that it might dilute passenger numbers from luton.....AndyC.

Disagree Andy, expansion in my book means adding capacity and if this route goes from seasonal to year round, that is expansion, abeit small expansion which i did clarify. Expansion does not just include adding new routes. #justsaying ;)

Just to clarify if Air Transat increased BHX-YYZ (Toronto) from x1 weekly to 4 weekly that is expansion, however no new route. I hope i have explained my position on this Andy :)

Now it depends if you are a glass half-full person, or a glass half-empty. On the one hand Easyjet have merely extended Geneva from seasonal to year-round. For those supporting the glass half-full view it is a case of '100% increase in year-round destinations from Birmingham'.

Let's look on the bright side....

Posted on the dried fruit.

Belfast mid June to end of August showing no reductions therefore an extra service each weekday compared to 2017.

One to keep an eye on as in previous years they've been loaded then removed at a later date. It makes sense for them to utilise the aircraft to the Med in the peak summer months.

Hi there Aviador, how are you today, in reply to the announcement of the new chief executive at easyjet in the last couple of days. Do you honestly think that once he's been in the job at least a month or so, that it will change easyjets position at bhx as to whether they add new routes at all... AndyC

Was that meant for me Andrew? I'm feeling fairly rubbish today actually. Think I'm coming down with Flu maybe. I'm on the Beechams Lem-sips right now and I'm wearing my t**t-hat to keep warm.

As for Easyjet expanding from BHX, it does seem somewhat strange that the airline isn't flying from Birmingham, one of the largest undeserved regions in the country. Will anything change? Unless there's an announcement pending (I don't know), probably not straight away as the new chief exec will need to bed in and make his own stamp on the business.

I think it will depend on where he sees the airline going in the future and maybe what sort of agreement there can be between Easyjet and BHX.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
