Changes again for next summer. Verona back to tba , skiathos dropped and still no filling for Monday am plus a gap now on Tuesday am.
TUI seem to be like Ryanair used to be - putting in routes for a forthcoming season, then taking them out. With TCX operating Skiathos for the past few years TUI must have thought there was room for them too.

These flights aren't for cruises they are package holiday flights, as far i can find out they connect to any cruises. There are 4 cruise flights put on by P&O cruises over the winter. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about whether it would be classed as a programme.

Exactly. Only 4 flights a week from BRS and 4 from CWL and CWL is the much smaller airport. Strangely though with TCX i couldn't find anything on the holiday site yet there are flights.

The TUI flights do tie up with Marella (TUI) cruises. I'm booked up on one myself.

Yep they do but for some strange reason only if you select all destinations as you pointed out on your post on WAF when i was looking before i was trying to select Caribbean and that wasn't coming up, i didn't think to select all destinations. The ones that came up actually look good especially Pride of Panama.
Welcome to Forums 4 Airports as well.

TUIs latest schedule update sees a number flights have their timings changed. All three long haul routes have had time changes (albeit no more than an hours change), and a number of shorthaul flights sees up to a couple of hours of change including Mondays BJV, Tuesdays TFS, Thursdays AGP, Saturdays RHOs and Sundays EFL, AGP and LCA.
Other changes are Verona (on Saturdays) moving from TOM to TBA and Skiathos on Tuesdays has been removed from the schedule.
There are now three slots in the schedule with space for a return flight; Monday morning, Tuesday morning and Saturday afternoon, so I expect more to routes or additional frequencies to come.

Thank you Jerry, been on here a while but just been having a nose through posts.
I've told numerous people at TUI about the problem of Caribbean being unavailable but nothing has been done about it yet. Can't be good for sales.

Sorry to hijack a BRS thread slightly but just to add to the above i'm referring to cruise flights from CWL.
I've booked CWL-MBJ

TUI of course used Mistral B737-400s for several years and then Neos B 737-800s for their Saturday Verona Lake & Mountains service including summer 17. I suppose that Mistral was the last airline to regularly use a B 737-400 into BRS. The TBA might turn out to be Neos again.

Hello Chris. Good to read your first posts and a belated welcome to F4A. Although we try not to let threads drift too much (and I am as big a culprit as anyone with this sort of thing) we aren't as fussy about it as some aviation web sites.

We hope you will contribute more posts. I believe that your particular interest might be CWL. You probably know already if you've been browsing for a while that we have a very good CWL community with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Jerry keeping an eye on things although we generally have a light touch on F4A.

It's just as bad, if not worse, at BHX.

TUi have had Izmir on sale then removed for the last three years (it's been on twice this year), Almeria has also seen similar treatment. Alghero took three years or so until it finally stuck and after recent announcements of a new route they've gone and taken Venice off sale.

I don't see the logic in putting a route on sale in the depths of winter with Christmas approaching then removing it 4-6 weeks later? Surely that cannot be an accurate gauge of demand?

Yet at CWL they are quite boringly predictable! Kind of good in a way as CWL doesn't get the chop and change on routes that other airports seem to get. I wonder if it's because BRS and BHX are bigger bases they feel they can do it. Have they added extra frequencies on other routes?

Because CWL can't sustain new destinations that aren't served from bigger bases. Must every thread have to include some kind of reference to CWL? EXT is probably much the same, as is BOH. They are routes that have higher demand and work. Being "boringly predictable" in Airline business terms probably means "sustainably profitable".
Airlines don't just close their eyes and whichever big base their finger lands on the map closest to shove a new route in there and see if it works. Most routes will work from LGW and MAN. If it doesn't work at BHX, then it highly likely won't work at BRS, and so on down the chain to CWL, or EXT, or BOH.

TUI seem to be wanting to operate new routes but if the sales aren't there then why continue it? HRG has been the same at BRS for the past few years but seems to have finally made it.

Like BRS is mentioned in the Cardiff threads a lot or Heathrow in the Manchester ones or Manchester in the Leeds ones. CWL is close to Bristol so will be mentioned a lot and it so happens to be my preferred airport that I have an interest in. As for TUI being 'boringly predictable' that is actually a compliment as they very rarely chop and change at CWL like they do at BHX or BRS which is a good thing for their customers.

Sorry guys if this has already been posted, however is it a one off flight or throughout S18 ?

TUI Airways in summer 2018 season is adding new long-haul route from Bristol, with the scheduling of Bristol – Punta Cana route. On board Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, first departure from Bristol is scheduled on 05APR18, return on 12APR18.

TOM614 BRS1140 – 1515PUJ 788 4
TOM615 PUJ1715 – 0600+1BRS 788 4

It's a weekly flight throughout the summer. Every Tuesday i believe. I personally believe in the long run BRS will get a based 787 for the summer eventually.

Skiathos back on sale now on Mondays
It's a job to keep up with the comings, goings then comings again with TUI at times.

Tui seems to be developing its Greek and Cypriot route network really well suggesting there is demand there . For example Corfu, Zante and Rhodes all will be served three times a week, kos and Heraklion twice a week with kefalonia , chania , santorini and skiathos all served once per week. Incidentally skiathos will be served by a b757 next summer . Only a Tuesday am slot to fill ( kefalonia maybe ?)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
