For our three very local clubs the prospect is not one local derby game next season: Villa promoted to the Premiership, Albion relegated to the Championship and Blues relegated to Div 1.

As the first witch in Macbeth said: "When will we three meet again, in thunder, lightning or in rain...."

Not for a few years - at least!

Well at least we will get Walsall!

This weekend, in Coventry, we shall probably witness the last of the public tributes to the legend that was Cyrille Regis.

Much has been said about Cyrille both as a player and a humanitarian: he was inspired and in equal measure he offered inspiration. The likes of Cyrille are rare and walk this earth infrequently.

But for my last words on this sad chapter i would like to say something about his wife Julia. We all have opinions about what are referred to as 'wags', the wives and girlfriends of footballers; of their vanity and their self-importance. But in Julia Regis i was spellbound by her humanity, her eloquence and the open-heart she had for all those who knew her 'beloved husband' and in the pride she had for what he had achieved.

In Cyrille's passing it would sad if football, its community and life in general lost the qualities that this amazing woman has displayed in the past few weeks. I hope she can continue her work with the international charity WaterAid and perhaps other charitable aims close the heart of Cyrille and herself.

2-0 to forest now. Hate anyone to lose their job but Cotterill save yourself. Until someone who loves the blues owns the blues we are going nowhere. Whoever these faceless people who own this club are, show yourselves and then go. I am sure Hainan will lay on a special flight for you.

And not Mighty Moors. Postponed. Grrrrrr. Not happy....someone please cheer me up!

someone please cheer me up!

We scored.

Sadly our negative goal difference now matches the pathetic points total and we are the only team in the division to lose five in a row.

Garry Monk or hold out for Pardew?

Whether we survive or go down they need to get someone in and stick with them, constant chopping and changing isn't good for anyone.

Good effort to cheer me Ray. Thank you for trying.

Not sure about Monk...to much hair gel, although I am not sure that is fair on him.

Pardew...interesting.

Where is Barry Fry when you don't need him.

Never mind.

Hey Wenger will be out of a job soon.

Like to say give cotterril a longer term reign but

Despite being a Villa fan,I have enormous sympathy for what BCFC and WBA fans are going through. After seeing what has happened to Villa in the last few years, there are similarities to the situation at both of those clubs.
The worrying thing is how long it will take to get back on track.
I believe, unlike WBA,that Birmingham have a chance of staying in the championship.A win,no matter how it is achieved could be the catalyst to a decent run to the end of the season.
Getting that win though is another matter.
I believe normally that continually changing the manager is the worst thing you can do.Getting rid of G.Rowett when you did was the worst axing of a manager I remember in our area for many years, but you don’t need me to tell you that.
WBA are as good as relegated. They have too many points to make up just to reach the same points as the two teams above them.
The football scene in our region is pathetic right now. Only Wolves seem to be going anywhere, but even that is not as comfortable as it was.
I am not confident about Villas chances of automatic promotion, and going through the play offs could go either way.
At least Walsall got a good win today, and that was much needed.

Leamington have gone 3 weeks with no defeat 2 wins and a postponement 4 points away from relegation. A very good last 3 week lol

Who's the manager and can we have him?

To be honest I dont think it matters who the manager is as the problems are obviously higher up, the Sullivan /Gold /Brady years while farfrom perfect look better by the day.
Oh for the Freddie Goodwin years and the Coomb familiy ownership of the club, time for a can or three me thinks.

Paul holleran is Leamington's manager 2 promotions and one relegation. Been with the club over 10 years but without investment I find myself a team up and down more than a ..... still the non league is great fun and leams ground if on flight path to BHX plus a few beers who can grumble

To change the sport...great to see the Airport being promoted at the World Athletics Championships. Couple of prominent banners around the arena. I am expecting the new CEO to be unveiled in amongst all the razmatazz.

Oh hang on Cotterill has gone. Thank you to him for giving it a go.

What now?

So Leamington, can we borrow your chap?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
