Ummm, apart fom numerous attractions in Bham., there are Warwick/Kenilworth castles, Worcester/Coventry/Birmingham (wonderful Edward Burne-Jones window) cathedrals, magnificent National Trust/English Heritage properties, Stratford-upon-Avon, the Cotswolds, the Malverns, ...+++ and then there is Peaky Blinders! (the ex-Liverpool locations)

FlyOne plans new routes from June 2018
Posted 5 March 2018 05:30

Moldovan carrier FlyOne has announced planned network expansion in summer 2018 season, as the airline schedules new flights to Birmingham and Voronezh. Operated by Airbus A319/320 aircraft, the airline will commence both service in June 2018.

Chisinau – Birmingham eff 02JUN18 1 weekly
5F615 KIV1040 – 1155BHX 319 6
5F616 BHX1310 – 1830KIV 319 6

Mentions as a footnote - Operational schedule varies from 25SEP18.

A great little but strange route for BHX, lets hope they continue this time around. Last time it was a shambles

I can't help thinking the name suggests an aviation version of U-Drive.

How odd is it that you can fly from Birmingham directly to Chisinau and Cluj-Napoca yet there are no flights to Lisbon, Athens or Nice?

There is a choice of two airlines offering seven weekly flights direct to Bucharest, yet Venice has only two weekly flights and Rome only four!

Niche markets from the UK v saturated ones. Emerging markets too. Not always a bad thing.

I have said something similar a few times.
If BHX can gain some niche routes then great. For me it is about getting routes and airlines that will work for BHX and it’s customers.
Turkmenistan A/L have proved that these services can work.Air One returning for a second season is also very encouraging.
If Uzbekistan A/L return as well, then that also opens up more opportunities, and not just to Amritsar either.
As I have pointed out before,TUA offer a lot more than ATQ,and Air One offer a few more different connections as well Chisinau.
All in all this is good for BHX and the region, and maybe, further afield.
Long haul of any description is good, but we also need many European routes that have been mentioned before.
I still believe BHX is in a good position for positive growth over the next few years.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
