The possibility of a service to York is being aired. Various routes are being looked at, for sometime in the future. It would be an ideal scenario for Transdev as they have depots in York and Harrogate and now the up and coming Idle.

I don't get the diversion into Apperley Bridge rail station if i'm honest. It is adding on journey time, which it appears they are planning to cut from the Yeadon extension.

The station serves all places that the bus routes themselves serve. Unless this is a plan to grow the passenger numbers by offering a reliable integrated bus service with Apperley Bridge for rail services? At the expense of a few minutes of the bus.

As far as I have been able to find out, the service will use the bus stop in the car park of the station.

Just returned from a Monday - Friday break on the East Coast near Hornsea. As ever when travelling regionally, I always take the opportunity to time the journey back as I live just a mile from LBA. They journey time to LBA by road is frequently mentioned as being a ball ache so I put that to the test today. I started timing the journey from the centre of Hull at 12:00 and we were back home at 13:15.The journey included a slight route change as J29 of the M62 is currently closed. All in all a good journey with no major delays.

The big thing that has occurred this year since lockdown is that there is literally no rush hour at all, in fact most days the traffic is worse around the middle of the day. The usual hotspots for traffic congestion generally keep flowing and some days you wouldnt even believe it was 5pm rush hr! A number of reasons for this include schools, universities and colleges currently not open, many people now working from home, split shifts at work and sadly due to many now out of work.

You might find out in 2 weeks time when you check the post lol

Just entering Hull I'd seen a speed camera van. I checked my speed at I was doing 42 in a 40 limit but I was at 30 as I entered a 30 limit shortly after. Think I'll be alright. No points on my licence, so hopefully I'll keep it that way.

Most cars read 2mph over their true speed so you were probably doing 40 anyway.

You must have been lucky as the m62 is normally closed six days out of seven
They don’t call it the m62 car park for nowt

Had one of my recently passed pupils on the M62 today, Leeds to saddleworth moor and back, traffic was bad, stop, start all the time, one min 60-70mph then right down to 20mph or less, sod MAN im sticking with LBA!

Very true plus the speed cameras give you an extra 10% so if you were in a 30mph zone the camera would flash you if your car speedo reads 36mph

Quite correct. They don't bother with speeds until they clock you at 36mph. Then you need to look out for the postman delivering sad tidings that cost about £90 and a 'safety training course' unless you have been caught before and then it is a fine and endorsement. The voice of experience and I still don't know when the van was parked to this day. I was on my way to LBA and in no hurry as it was mid afternoon and I was staying over for an early start the next morning.

Im afraid I cannot agree with you on this, I have seen speeding tickets which read 34 mph in a 30 mph zone

was it perhaps the speed camera on the A65 just before you arrive at the main rawdon traffic lights, it goes from a 40 to a 30mph limit and the camera is just as you hit the 30mph zone, or perhaps it was a mobile van around where the LBA tunnel is, ive seen them there in the past?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
