Nice to see a new airline at BHX,but i wonder with mouth watering fares how long they will be around.People have or getting into a habit by checking prices and with accomadation thrown in.

I thought also after a week they would've dropped. I'm sure they will settle to a much much lower price very soon. Nobody will buy seats at those fares. Give em time......he says!

Looking at AnadoluJet flights from BHX and STN to DLM in early August, prices are £1458 and £499 respectively. I noticed a week ago the prices were very high and was hoping they'd have dropped by now. Hopefully it's a sign of lots of interest in the flights messing up the pricing algorithms.

The fares still need to settle down and probably will do so soon. Some BHX-DLM fares are £806 across a whole week, and given this was only recently launched, it’s implausible that the cabins would be that full already.

Exactly the same happened with the MAN and EDI Turkish flights. Fares sat at £700+ for about 2-3 weeks before they settled into the ‘normal’ brackets we see now.

Carriers are in such a rush to launch lights to ‘high demand’ points that sometimes they just load the basic fare brackets up, and then worry about adjusting them later. They will get there, just need to give them time. If Turkey is offering restriction free access for all Brits this summer, they aren’t exactly going to struggle selling seats, even last minute ones.

Sean M reports that daily flights to Antalya are bookable from 21 June 2022 to 19 September 2022

New flight times don’t look as attractive as the original flight times!

So with all these flights to Tukey and everywhere else opening back up, will anybody be able to afford to go abroad this year.

Energy prices doubling will have a massive effect on the economy as well as the Tourism industry.

Unfortunately Summer 2022 will now have a new menace to deal with as we recover from Covid, and this is the War in Ukraine which isn't a million miles away from Turkey.

Imho people will be jittery about booking holidays to the Eastern mediteranean and will probably stay nearer to home so therefore back to Spain and Portugal ??

What do we think ?

The distance between Kiev and the Muğla region in Turkey (Dalaman and Bodrum gateway) is similar to the distance between BHX and Alicante in Spain. I think Turkey and Greece will do just fine this summer. One thing's for sure.....there'll be a lot less Russians on holiday here and zero Ukrainians this summer....unless they call an end to this atrocity.
Matt's right...a weak lira and well priced holidays will probably make summer 22 a bonanza for the Turkish economy. Sure needs it!!
Couple days ago had my AnadoluJet flight canx from BHX to DLM on the 12th May. In this instance I'm glad, as the flight times were absolutely naff. Better flight times may have helped. Corendon's are much better timed and am using them on the 21st April to BHX and TK via IST back on the 14th May. Cheaper (by far) to use other airports down sowf, but BHX is a winner for accessibility and ease to get through. Supporting the local no matter the cost from now on. Just hope the security line issues have calmed down a bit in a month. One can hope.

Hope you all have a cracking summer and get to use BHX as much as possible :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
