I'm starting to struggle to remember what has already been posted.

I don't think one can listen to a good song too many times. Besides, even if you do duplicate I doubt that anyone else would remember either 😁

With my memory I'm probably the worst offender 😟

Jon Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory

R.I.P Jeff Beck ☹️

/\/\/\/\ Brilliant 👏👏

Mr F I am taking a risk on this one as to whether it has been posted before 😬

If not then excellent, if it has then we get to enjoy it again 😁

Rush - Limelight

I've always 'liked' Rush but have probably never paid them the kind of attention that they deserve. It wasn't until you started posting songs on this thread that I realised that I need delve a little deeper 👍

Led Zeppelin - The Lemon Song

Fabulous bass.

Sadly, there is just not time to listen to all of the excellent music of so many different bands. I discovered Rush at a young age. When I was aged around 12 to 14, I was trying to find my way with music. I hated dancing, so Disco was out. My parents (knowing my love of aviation), bought me a cassette of the Band of the Royal Airforce, playing the likes of The Battle of Britain and The Dambuster March. While this was OK, it really didn't 'fire me up'. At the same time, my cousin (18 months older than me, but more like my brother, as we'd lived next door to each other all of our lives to that point), had me listening to Rock music (Queen, AC/DC, Rush etc), every rime I went round. It didn't take long for that to take effect. So, at 14 years old, I went out and purchased Rush 2112 (which I linked to here https://forums4airports.com/threads/4448/post-254181). Whilst a Progressive Rock album, side 1 is on a classical scale (a futuristic Sci-fi adventure) of over 20 minutes and breaks down into -

I. "Overture"
II. "The Temples of Syrinx"
III. "Discovery"
IV. "Presentation"
V. "Oracle: The Dream"
VI. "Soliloquy"
VII. "Grand Finale"

I read the story on the back cover of the album, before listening to it. I was mesmerised and that was me, off down the 'Rush Rabbit Hole'. After that, I bought every new Rush album on the day of release and have seen them 7 times in concert.
The thing I've found with each new Rush album, is it take me 5 or 6 listens before I start to like particular songs. But, suddenly one will become wonderfully melodic and others will follow. A great example, is Secret Touch -

You can never break the chain
There is never love without pain
A gentle hand, a secret touch on the heart
A healing hand, a secret touch on the heart

Birmingham's own...the amazing... Laura Mvula.

I wanted to post her incredible performance on Open The Gates at the Commonwealth Games but I can't find it.

This'll have to do 🙂
