Brilliant news and long overdue. Credit to the BHX negotiating team, and EasyJet for showing faith in us.
So pleased to see Berlin in there, along with Paris.
Once the holiday routes get established, i am sure we will see more European city destinations added, and a growing base.
Let's hope the people of the West Midlands and further afield take advantage of this and make it a great success.

The mix wasn't what I was expecting but I think focusing on 'IT' destinations will very quickly boost the easyjet brand in the Midlands and give Tui, Ryanair & Jet2 some competition.
I think some of the current W patterns will slot into the based schedule which is a shame but I can quickly see the base growing to 5 aircraft and beyond if the holidays sell well.
Plenty of other 'IT' and city destinations they can add.

For an initial summer launch base it’s pretty much what I expected but added with the existing and previously announced routes I think it’s an excellent start. Considering a few years ago they were only flying to Belfast and Geneva it’s all the more impressive and just shows how much work has gone on to secure the base. Berlin is a much welcome addition and I’m quite surprised to see Enfidha on the list, I’d have put money on Marrakech if they went for a North African route. I thought Rome and Prague might have been in there too and maybe Reykjavik but that’s probably one for the winter.

Have a look at what EZY do out of Manchester and Bristol and you should get a good impression
of what will or should come over next few seasons if the frequencies are high enough out of them,
the more odd ball ones come later

Great to see things finally happening.

Over the moon to see Berlin back at long last.

As said by Sherburn we finally get some capacity back to Sharm where Monarch were once very well established.

Jersey must have done well enough when it operated before to see a return, hopefully Newquay will follow in due course.

The rest are kind of typical but they are the routes that make money and will hopefully be a solid foundation upon which to grow the base in the coming years.

Well done to all involved (y)

I no longer live in or visit my home city nor read newspapers, it is F4A that has informed me of this news!
So far, Birmingham Live website ( Birmingham Mail) have only put it on their Solihull news site.
No mention at all from ITV Central News or BBC Midlands Today.

BHX have Tweeted the press release only to be met with with the negativity of the usual moaners.

The press release does state that flights will be on sale 'in the coming months' so we may have to wait.

Hopefully we'll see Nick Barton or Tom Screen on the news when the time is right :)

Berlin that should make a fair few here happy. Didn't FR once serve Berlin either TXL or the other one. Part of the old Berlin Airport still exists. I believe Easyjet Europe have base at Berlin so It was probably going to be served by Easyjet from BHX to link Say BHX to Marrekesh or Vienna or Milan

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
