I’m making the point that they’ve cancelled flights from all the other UK airports not just something that’s affecting 1 airport.

It is definitely weather at AMS. There was already a warning on the eurocontrol operations site yesterday saying severe winds (over 50kts) and disruption was expected today. The flights were pro actively cancelled, and I imagine anything left still running today will face risk of being delayed/cancelled/diverted.

just an update on the TUI B789 delays yesterday/today at BHX

Fridays 18:00 arrival from Antalya is now due to land around 21:45 tonight, almost 28 hours late due to G-TUIJ having a technical issue outbound from LGW on Friday morning, and thus returned back to LGW, aircraft had now been fixed and departed LGW today around 12:30

This affected the Friday 19:50 outbound flight to Dalaman, which was planned to operated on the MAN based, G-TUIN, which then had tech issues its self, and finally positioned into BHX just past midnight, and was then too late to operate the Dalaman flight. The Dalaman flight has now been split into 2 738 flights today, G-TAWC, departing at 12:24, due back into BHX around 21:45, when it will turn around again back to Dalaman to operate an extra flight for the remaining passengers around 22:45 tonight, about a 27 hours delay!

Must be costing TUI a fortune with all these delays, possibly 1,035 BHX passengers affect, and 345 at LGW!!

I was wondering what happened to last night's DLM. Then I saw two TUI flights plus the 414 and you've just confirmed it. Would I be in the camp of yay...another day's holiday or I just wanna get home. Think it would have to be the extra day and the EU261 in me pocket. Thanks Tui
