Nice to hear, so would you anticipate 5 based s25 or still unsure with only 4th committed ? Cheers
I would anticipate 5 based but it’s depends on aircraft delivery and reconfiguring of second hand A320’s plus second hand NEO which has 188Y because the union have been kicking up a fuss over it but it will also speed up training when finished as at the moment crew have to learn A319, A320-186, A320D1,2,3 ,A320NEO-188 and A321NEO and I’ve the pleasure of flying on all types within 2 weeks of join.

To be honest with you I can see Pegasus Adding Antalya next summer if their is demand
I think additional Istanbul flights

The Easyjet Manchester Istanbul route is really popular it’s like Ryanair Bucharest flight here where you can make 4K on just one flight alone from onboard sales !! and it’s fully booked most of the time

It seems as if Wizz will still be playing a part in growth over the next few years.

You look at the airlines that have the huge order books of aircraft and it’s Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz, etc and they will play a key part in our growth over the next few years

Wonder if Tom,Nick at the airport and Tom&tom at blues are in talks about a flight

Preferably would be good to start flights to New York next winter cause the industry of football will rocket in a few years in the midlands .

April 1st has come round quickly and that's from a died in the wool blue nose.

It's a really good addition for Jet2 and Seville is only about 45 minutes by road from Cadiz I've visited both and well worthwhile for an interesting city break.

Seems an obvious target for EasyJet also who look like evolving over the next couple of years into everything we could have wished for at BHX

So with the announcement on Monday by proposed new airlines Avooma and Be regional.
I do think they will operate a base from Birmingham.
These are my predictions
Inverness-With Loganair suspending the route due to staffing shortages.I do think this will be a primarily successful route.

Lyon and Nantes- with easyjet closing both routes I can see them operating this route 100%.

Bordeaux- Ryanair cancelling it’s operations.I can see 1 of the 2 airlines operating a route.

Glasgow-Seems to be a very busy route during football season so I see why not

Newquay - has to be an option for 1 of the 2 airlines if they did start operating

BE regional... Once bitten twice shy, err no twice bitten maybe third shy err no lets try again. Did they not learn anything from the 1st attempt then 2nd attempt and now a 3rd.
I doubt they will get off the ground.

Hmmmm.......

Asked how realistic it would be for Birmingham to get its direct flights back to the US, Mr Barton replied: "[There is] a reasonable degree of optimism." He explained the hope would be to reintroduce flights to "New York City and other big cities".

No time frame given however when they might get new USA flights. So 2 years? 5 years? 10 years? take your bets!!! 🤣

BE Regional - as they say if you keep doing the same thing don't be surprised if you keep getting the same result.
I find it very strange that these people are still making use of the Flybe / Be brand, I would’ve thought that by now, many industry members would see it as irreparably tarnished, and would want to avoid working for anyone that had connections to the old versions of Flybe.

Yes the Flybe brand is now very much tainted but its more than that. This is just a paper airline up to now with as far as I can see no aircraft, no pilots/crew/ engineering/sales or administrative staff plus no or little capitalisation showing in the company house records therefore I have my doubts about this set up as it stands.

The pick of the old Flybe routes have been taken by other airlines for example at BHX EasyJet have all the worthwhile domestics with today for example operating Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow with a total of eleven flights using A319's or 320's, with Aer Lingus also operating six to Belfast City and Loganair run Aberdeen up to three daily, Amsterdam and Paris also cherry picked by EasyJet.

Those routes were the guts of Flybe at Birmingham and some other ex Flybe routes are also now covered.

If these people are serious I wish them well but generally for smaller regional airlines in the UK is a difficult place particularly post covid as travelling patterns have changed I don't really see a worthwhile opportunity at BHX for them even if they ever get off the ground.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
