Vueling, like any low cost airline will probably go where the deals are. Since their deal ended after their 10 year stint, it seems they have slowly contracted. I really can't see Malaga going for the summer. It's still at least a month off when they released it last year.
It would be interesting to see if CWL are throwing money at FR or also offering anything to VY.

I do wonder as well if Jet2 at Bristol and Easyjet holidays could be affecting them? And I did read somewhere else that package holiday bookings are going up compared to self bookings of which I'd expect Vueling potentially sees a lot of from individuals and potentially independent travel agents as well.
As for incentives etc compared to Ryanair I'd imagine that the airport only has a limited budget and Ryanair has the more potential for routes beyond Spain and of course the hope for a base.

Malaga is a strange one. Particularly as they increased the route to three weekly outside of the peak summer season then just haven’t carried on over winter. I suspect they’ll be back for next summer.

It does also look like they’re pulling their BCN to EDI route.

Thursdays and Fridays seem to be the days that Vueling update CWL availability..

With that in mind, it looks like they’re adding Malaga Wednesday and Saturdays from the end of Feb next year. It’s currently patchy so we won’t see the full range until later today.

It looks like it'll be 1 weekly on Wednesdays from 26/2 with a random flight on Saturday 8/3.
Its a shame that its not all winter but something is better than nothing and hopefully it means we'll see them operating in the summer as well.

I too would agree that AGP won’t be making an appearance for W24/25 unfortunately*.

By now most airlines will have put W24/25 on sale and be looking forward to S25 schedules - we’re almost in July, so well into S24 operations…

Let’s hope that AGP returns for S25 and they haven’t been put off by FR taking them on!

*more than happy to be proved wrong!
I eat my words. Not completely…

A few sporadic dates (6 in total) have appeared over the Christmas and NY period now which is positive!

Not a complete loss of AGP in winter after all :)

That’s better than nothing and might explain why the airport were so shy about whether they were operating the route over winter or not.

Flights are on the 18th, 24th, 28th & 31st December and 4th & 7th January.

Strange one.. but it may change. Vueling have released Malaga dates from mid Sept to Oct 2025. Wednesday and Saturday. Nothing for the full summer season yet.

They’ve also released the rest of summer 2025 to Alicante.

That is a bit odd. Hopefully they'll add the rest sooner rather than later.

Apparently it's now onsale for the whole summer. 2 weekly Wednesday and Saturday.

Vueling Summer 2025
Alicante will be 3 weekly Monday, Wednesday and Saturday between April and June and then the Wednesday flight will be replaced with a Tuesday flight between July and the 2nd week of September where the Wednesday departure returns instead until the end of October.

In total that means 5 weekly departures.

Oddly Vueling seem to have taken Malaga off sale for April 2025.

Is Malaga off for the whole Summer season 2025? It seems to have gone down in popularity, with only one flight this winter.

It has to be an error as April next year will be peak travel time as Easter falls quite late so will be the prime time for springtime travels!

I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t reappear.

It is odd and fingers crossed the flights will reappear but with Vueling and Malaga I somehow wouldn't be surprised if it stayed like that.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
