Why not? The Manchester top 10 routes are nearly all routes already served by LBA, we need more choice on the routes already served to claw back passengers who would otherwise fly from LBA.

Exactly. Whatever route(s) they choose, first and foremost they need to be successful. And secondly, we have been told it is unlikely to be a base and they don’t do ‘w’ patterns, which gives a fairly short list of candidates really

I imagine they will be wanting to build up their relatively new package holiday business so in spite of the Jet2 dominance at LBA they may be tempted to test the waters even so. Lower prices than Jet2 would be a good start.

To be honest as an outsider LBA probably has the largest remaining underserved catchment area and in reality currently has one really significant choice of operator in Jet2. Given EasyJet have a stated objective of becoming a major player in the bucket and spade market and the resources to do it plus their actions so far at current bases if they are to set up at LBA then holiday routes in volume at some point are a given I would have thought.

Keeping Jet2 on their toes.

Jet2 have had it too easy at LBA since the demise of Monarch. They need some proper holiday competition so EZY are the ones. Ryanair will contribute. If we could get a 2 aircraft base (even 1 would be nice) from TUI plus EZY plus RYR, plus the Turkish carriers, hopefully Jet2 are kept on their toes

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
