It won't be needed if her probable plan to push LBA passengers to DSA works. She's not only a hypocrite, she seems to be NIMBY of the highest order too.
I wouldn’t put much faith I any of the announcements today! Most are a rehash of thing which have been mentioned before and discussed before…The support for DSA amounts to the same as the last govs support for their golden boy Houchen and Teesside airport…..
Interestingly just listening to PM questions and Badenock has just called out Reeves for being a hypocrite and blocking an airport in her own constituency…

About the only thing Badenoch has said that I agree with, although it was her party, not the current incumbents, who delayed LBAs new terminal to the point where it was abandoned. Badenoch is clearly suffering from selective memory syndrome.

The whole thing is about politics- I’m just glad LBA is not reliant on public funding or government support which can change at politicians whim….
We saw how LBA suffered from under investment when it was under local authority ownership……Only now is it starting to play catch up.

Interesting read….

So according to FP Airports, most other airports within DSAs catchment are 'close to capacity'. What rubbish! LBA is about to greatly increase its capacity from 4m to 7m, MAN is clearly able to handle significantly more, and so is EMA.

Statements such as this are so typical of the entire DSA mk 2 project. You have wonder who they are trying to kid.

These plans to re open the likes of DSA and Plymouth all depend on subsidies from Local and central government as they’re not viable otherwise, whereas LBA is thriving and growing without such assistance because the demand is there. It’s the reality of LBA v the fantasy of DSA.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
