Smartwings BCS3 (A220-300) due in from Prague 08.22E OK-FYC.
Still in Czech colours I see. Strange to think it was nearly 10 years ago that Czech started flights to Prague! Lots of new airlines were starting flights to BHX around that time, I don’t think many of those are still here!

Yes, rather sad really. Off the top of my head, Iberia, Icelandair, Aegean, and reduced offerings from SAS, Brussels, Swiss etc.
The plus side has been the increasing Low Cost routes.

First visit to BHX this year saw me on the first train from New St. at 0825 (ridiculous start time for a Sunday morning for an airport open 24 hours, hardly encourages people to use public transport).Used the staircase down to arrivals after leaving the air-rail link, first set of double doors on your left, signed as a fire exit but several people using them, brings you out on the right hand side of the lifts. There was a portable stand at the bottom saying for air-rail link only not departures.Quick visit to the railway line path to see what was parked up,remarkably almost completly litter free.
Spent most of the day at car park 5 viewing area, noted the 3 benches seemed to be new!Fairly busy with families and spotters all day enjoying the sun.Quiet early morning but constant arrival from early afternoon onwards with the based units returning, lots more 9H Ryanairs compared to previous visits.Photos to follow when edited.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
