It's the second time FM gas gone tech in 3 days and both times we've ended up with a MAN based A321 to cover. Despite us supposedly having a spare here. I guess with two 300s tech its more of a problem.I know Jet2 are one 737-3 down, as G-GDFM N/S in Dalaman.

Bet the offloaded pax were delighted about that.The flight was booked to be operated by a Boeing 737-800 but it went tech, the wasn’t any spare aircraft available apart from Boeing 737-300, G-GDFM which was dispatched.
Some pax had to be off-loaded and re-booked onto alternative flights as you cannot fit 189 pax into a 148 seat aircraft, can you?

Just seen an SXS A320 (full Sun Express livery) depart 14 possibly suggesting good loads? Everything else departing 32
It's rare these days to hear aircrew request a RW14 departure for performance reasons. It was an everyday occurrence before the runway was extended then became less common as newer aircraft with more powerful engines came along. It was a routine request for the Eurocypria A320 in the 1990s.He requested Runway 14 for performance reasons according to LBA ATC
