The 733s have been a pile of s**t for years. The only thing they can be relied upon to do in the summer is break down and this is something that Jet2's Leeds Bradford passengers have had to put up with since the remaining aircraft were all moved there. Hardly fair, is it?

A 733 on Dalaman? Another indication that Turkey isn't doing so great in terms of bookings? It is half term week after all.

The flight was booked to be operated by a Boeing 737-800 but it went tech, the wasn’t any spare aircraft available apart from Boeing 737-300, G-GDFM which was dispatched.

Some pax had to be off-loaded and re-booked onto alternative flights as you cannot fit 189 pax into a 148 seat aircraft, can you?

Bet the offloaded pax were delighted about that.

Im sure Jet2 compensated them.

Malta Air Boeing 737-800 9H-QFK has just departed from Malaga and will make her first LBA visit later this afternoon. This fuselage first appeared at LBA on 31 March 2017 when operated by Ryanair as EI-FZF.

SunExpress Boeing 737-800 TC-SOT is enroute from Antalya and will make her first LBA visit in the late afternoon.

He requested Runway 14 for performance reasons according to LBA ATC
It's rare these days to hear aircrew request a RW14 departure for performance reasons. It was an everyday occurrence before the runway was extended then became less common as newer aircraft with more powerful engines came along. It was a routine request for the Eurocypria A320 in the 1990s.

This BBJ can accommodate a maximum of 18 passengers, has a maximum of two bedrooms and has two showers! Meanwhile back in the World most of us occupy, this afternoons’ Eastern flight picked up a delay in Amsterdam arriving at LBA just over an hour late with the return flight departing almost 1 hour 30 minutes late. On top of that the early morning flight has been cancelled according to FR with the overnight stopper aircraft that would have operated the flight flying out to Manchester at 12.30. All seems a bit topsy turvy to me but there must be some operational method in the apparent madness you would hope.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
