Well, i'm flying to Milan Bergamo on Friday - but not from BHX. Because Ryanair don't fly there any more i am having to traipse up to Manchester. Grrrr!

Maybe this thread can be widened to include those who are flying off somewhere but can't do it from their local airport. Just a thought.

Its good to see this little route used by every type of traveller, I bet they pick up a few pax to go onwards onto our long haul services too, without the hassle of going to LGR/LGW

I'm off to Greece but can't remember which island it is now. I'm thinking Zakynthos but will double check with Mrs F.

Sorry mate but you don't know which island you are going too ???
Mmmmmmmm I can see who wears the trousers in your relationship. He he he

Only Joking :giggle::giggle:

Well that sounds ideal and even better when somebody else pays for it. Greece should be nice this time of the year and not too hot which is a bonus.

Im sure you will have a great time and give us a rundown of the plane journey on your return. :)

Will do.

It's been a while since I've been to Greece but I've always enjoyed it when I have been in the past. With the kids being so little I think this time of year is ideal, as said not too hot.

We're off to Malaga in October with Norwegian, looking forward to trying them out (y)

I guess you're referring to Newquay? Yeah really good to see that. I wonder if there's a potential market for routes like Exeter and Norwich.

Booked a lastminute deal to Marrakech with First Choice online last weekend. Fly out tomorrow evening and Well pleased my flight is from BHX. One thing for sure couple of weeks ago the prices were ridiculous from Brum n airports like luton were lot cheaper.

Glad you managed to get a late deal flying from BHX, I hope you enjoy your trip. Weather should be nice and warm this time of the year.

I see Thomas Cook are balloting for strike action, possibly to happen over the school half term. If it goes ahead I hope that it doesn't affect my flight :nailbiting:

Flew down to Malaga today at 3, just missing the lunchtime rush.

Obviously, the revamping of duty free is messy but will make the area look much larger when complete.

Pleasing to see most security lanes open reducing queues.

One of the staff at check-in needs an attitude transplant, but apart from that, all staff were professional and friendly.

The boarding areas on the int. pier work well with the pier very busy and the A380 parked opposite the Qatar 787. We boarded from 52, so were right in the thick of it.

Monarch have finally got their boarding procedures sorted and the despatchers are now more efficient.

Apart from a heavy landing, a very comfortable flight.

As a side note, it was the first time I have seen the A380 on the ground at Birmingham and was lucky enough to catch the push back.

A couple of arriving flights had to divert via the remote stands to get to their stands.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
