The ship has been sinking steadily for at least the last twenty years under various political guises so I wouldn't expect it to sink any quicker under whoever runs the country after the next general election. For me, most of the political parties are singing off the same hymn sheet so far as economics go. Farage and his merry men say what people want to here but there is evidence to show a withdrawal from the EU would be suicide economically and for crime prevention. The main pulling power for many is the parties stance on immigration. All very well and good stopping migration from the EU for people who actually want to work here in the UK but it doesn't stop the boat load of immigrants from outside the EU queuing up at Calais waiting to come here to claim political asylum which is actually the main concern for the majority of people in this country.

All the talk about sorting the runway out is not being negative at all, far from it. We want the airport to achieve and make considerably more progress than it currently is doing.
