Birmingham: EasyJet Flights, New Routes & Base Updates

Use this prefix for new threads for Birmingham Airport
Just to add to the saga I've just tried a few dummy bookings on the EasyJet site it for Jan/ Feb and FUE shows mostly 2 weekly but some 3(three) weekly maybe Christmas, New Year and half term extra flights.

All in all though it's looking good with EasyJet apperntly intent with pushing on at BHX.

Winter 2026 shows 7th based aircraft this winter.

Few gaps left in the schedule

Mondays shows 8th based aircraft however I expect that to change

I wish you were right but it would be almost unheard of for an airline to increase their fleet in Winter from Summer, it looks to me (and nwoody) that we are actually down by 1 flight per week.
EZY are down 1x flight a week in the Winter Peak in Feb 2027 compared to Feb 2026.

Currentlt BHX EZY Schedule (Winter Peak Week, Feb 2027)

1. AGA = 2x Weekly (NEW ROUTE)

Don’t want competition but whoever’s right we’ll apologize to whoever is correct?

Deal?
As I said I really hope you are right but until I see all these extra frequencies bookable on easyjet then I dont believe they will happen. The only outside chance is that Tui sell more seats on Easyjet but this of course could lead to less Tui based.

From what I can see on my timetable Ian there’s at least 11 spaces for increased routes or new routes. For the timings based on my analysis I can see two or 3 new routes and those are
Hamburg 2 weekly,Cape Verde 3 weekly Aberdeen 3 weekly Vienna 2 weekly

From what I can see at the moment Ian looks to be correct at the moment

Fuerteventura,Milan,Jersey,Inverness ,Nice,Faro and Lisbon all summer seasonal

Expertflyer is excellent and often shows schedule updates before they appear on the airlines’ website. I can see how you've counted eight-based aircraft for a Monday in December and throughout the W26/27 season. However, the schedule on Expertflyer is still incomplete. There are two EDI departures within ten minutes of each other mid-morning and the rest of the schedule clearly doesn’t look coherent yet.

There are various people on here who have information from a variety of sources but we have to understand that more often than not this information is sensitive and not for the public domain until a certain time. Asking the same question over and over again will not get an answer. I'd love to post some of the things that I've heard but if I'm told not to post then I don't, simple as that.

The last thing I want is for anyone to get in trouble and potentially threaten their career just to post about a potential new route.

Besides isn't the build up and anticipation the best bit 😁

Also I’m pretty sure a new route won’t go by without being noticed

As the others have said, you have to be really careful about what is said online. It’s actually written in some/most companies’ contracts, but on top of that, you also have three different teams working in one department: the short term e.g charter flights; the medium-term , 2-3 years; and the long-term team, 4+ years, who focus on the end goal at most airlines.

While that is likely true, after a check the information posted here was already widely available from other sources so I don't feel there is a need to be precious about the information.

I understand. I was merely attempting to clarify that there are more complex factors at play than appear on the surface. In the future I will refrain from providing as precise details (although the examples I provided were not intended to be specific to any particular company).

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
