    Thoughts with the family of the poor PC who sadly lost his life in the line of duty. Massive respect to all of the emergency services responders who, despite losing one of their own, reacted so swiftly.

    Role I'll be doing wasn't part of the redundancy round and became available as current person handed in their notice. They thought I was the "obvious" candidate. Calculated my April pay and it's about the same as I got in my 1st ever job in 1990. Time for a lie down...

    So told to test and implement new system at work that's making me redundant. Feel like a turkey that's voted for Christmas

    Cheers. CV almost done, one of the guys in another team used to work in recruitment and has offered to look at it when done . Going to screw them for all the £4k they've said I'm due... leave early and it's being reduced.

    Thanks. Never nice but every job i've had has ended this way so almost used to it. Being honest, i could see it happening so not a tremendous shock. Decent redundancy pay though.

    Thanks. Think the waterworks will come into effect on the 10th anniversary; i normally manage to keep a lid on my emotions. Think the strangest situation is that we managed to get a lawyer fixed up quite quickly and we've stayed in contact with them socially, even though the inquest concluded 3 years ago!

    bit of a sad day at work. 2 people had their cats pass away today. One was in a hit and run accident.. yet no law was broken?! Bizarre.

    Midlands I think.. Didn't specify an alternate in the flightplan. Was a bit sunny here then I lost the block of flats opposite me.
