When I’ve been in Edinburgh on business, I’ve always booked the first flight up and the last flight down with a ticket which allows me to jump on an earlier return flight if necessary.
FlyBe’s unreliability has usually meant that the earlier returns were consolidated onto the last flight of the day.
This to me is ill thought out. For example, adding a carousel, presumably in t1 and then bussing t2 arrivals into t1 immigration.
What will they then do, bus them back to t2 baggage reclaim.

I don't know how concessions are charged, but a good model is that of Gatwick.
They charge a percentage of turnover and even have specialist staff employed to check on their concessions ensuring they are making the most of their retail space.

Hi Darlo, you can calculate the runway number from compass direction the aircraft is arriving from. A numbering system devised to help pilots before ILS.
Just knock the last number off the direction of travel and this will give you an approximation on the runway.

Returned from Malaga on Sunday.
Was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency at T2 despite the lack of e-gates.
All 5 border gates were staffed and carousels 7 & 8 handled 4 consecutive inbounds well.
Arrival to picking up bags took 35 minutes.
Plus, got the bonus of the Ryanair fanfare! :):):):)
Flew down to Malaga yesterday with Ryanair.
Usual no fuss, does what it says on the tin stuff. 1/2 hour late departing and 5 minutes late arriving so no fanfare :-(.
