Very Good News. Jet2 are really doing well recently with the announcments, i believe much more to come.

Slight Review;
MAN-Grenoble Announce
Larnaca announced from EMA
Bodrum Announced from GLA
Gran Caneria announced from both.
Bodrum & Dalaman increased from LBA, and a possible fourth based 757 at leeds.

Yes very good news.

The Grenoble flights will operate on a Saturday and Sunday with the Saturday flight being operated by a Boeing 757-200 and the Sunday flight being operated by a Boeing 737-300.

The flight times are slightly different with the Saturday service doing a; 0830-1130 // 1230-1330 flight whilst the Sunday service will be an earlier 0800-1100 // 1200-1300 shift.

This years friday MAN-DLM timetable shows a 1420 & 1450 departure. They are running two seperate flights on the same day with the same aircraft to the same destination? Anyone know why?

It looks as if they are operating 2 flights on a friday to Dalaman so this probably explains why

I'm asking why? Thats two 757 frames being used, they are not operating a daytime (early morning 0800) and later on departure its within half hour? Is this to do with demand or a charter ontop and they are just taking some seats too. Or they taking seats from another operator?

I don't know for sure but I would to a guess at is because of demand. I pressume that they are going in the afternoon because like LBA, they maybe operating the 757s on the shorter routes, spain etc, in the morning and then returning for the longer routes in the afternoon

Privilege Style 757 256 EC-HDS has done the MAN - ALC today, currently returning as LS880! anyone know why?

Does anybody have ideas of the way the 757 and 737-800 are used day to day. I've being trying to figure it out, but not to much success.

I noticed on flightradar24 one of the Jet2 aircraft appeared to be carrying out flight tests yesterday evening. Could explain why Jet2 had to draft in Privilege Style - EC-HDS - Manchester - B752
Strategic - LX-STC - Manchester - A320 yesterday?

Although he lives "round the corner" from me in LS 29, a friend is flying back to MAN on LS 972 from Rome on 7th July.

As a well built gent, he is concerned whether it will be a 737 or a 757.

Can someone with acess to systems help?

Thanks

Hi Bhowani

The Jet2 Manchester - Rome services EXS791/792 are normally operated by a mix of Boeing 737-300's (TUE & WED) & Boeing 737-800's (MON, THU, FRI, SAT & SUN).

So with July 7th been a Saturday your friend will be flying on a New Boeing 737-800

Hope that helps

Jet2 are using Air Finland 757 OH-AFM out of Manchester today and is currently heading back to Manchester from Alicante

I have heard it was due to G-LSAI either being tech or on Charter duties, as it was last Sunday, operating between Lourdes and Cork I believe.

LX-STA is also in action today, as to the reasoning why OH-AFM will have been brought in.

However, to correct my previous post G-LSAI is now operating the Manchester - Lanzarote service so it could have just been down to a simple aircraft shortage.

Just heard something fairly low overhead my house in Doncaster, Plane Finder showing it as EC-ISY, a 757-200 on the LS888 PRG-MAN evening return. Just wondering if this is a short term lease due to airframe shortages at MAN ?

Yep, EC-ISY has been operating out of Manchester on behalf of Jet2 since the 5th of June by all accounts and according to FlightRadar.

I would imagine once G-LSAN, Jet2's new B757 purchase, has been fitted with all the necessities, then she will take over covering-duties from EC-ISY.

For some unknown reason former LBA based and now MAN based G-LSAC has swapped with Glasgow based G-LSAL down-route in Paphos...

Is this a permanent swap to keep the two Allegiant-bound B757's together at MAN, or just a standard swap...?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
