Aer Lingus, chief executive Christoph Mueller was quoted as saying the following yesterday
"You can expect, as we go forward, all dependant on the economy, that more and more routes currently on regional will be replaced by Aer Lingus 320 aircraft and we will move regional to the Leeds, to East Midland type of development," he added

I heard from someone who I know quite well, and has been correct on many other rumours he has told me, and so I am presuming it may be "work in progress"...?
They do have a substantial presence however over at MAN, and so I don't know how realistic this will be...
Another airport I heard they were looking into was NCL and also up into Scotland possibly, to try and connect the whole of the UK with the Channel Islands a lot easier, but they currently do not have the aircraft availability to operate any new services, as they tend to operate from 'Southern' airports such as; Bristol, East Midlands, Southampton, Gatwick, Stansted.
The furthest Northern airport they fly to is Manchester I believe..
I will obviously let you all know if I hear anything else..
markietg said:Thomsons seem to be adding a Dalaman flight out of LBA for next Summer. I've just recieved an e-mail for Thomson Cruises and you can fly on a Monday from LBA to join the cruise in Marmaris. It sails at 22.00 from Marmaris so that should mean a Monday morning departure from LBA.
