How does this compare to the same period in 2017?
I imagine Flybe are protecting their revenue.

I believe Paris was daily (7 weekly), Faro did have big gaps last winter, both Milan and Munich i'm pretty sure were 3 weekly each and Belfast was 12 weekly and Glasgow was 4 weekly so no change there. So it looks like CWL will lose 11 weekly flights during that period. How does this compare to the same period in 2017?

I’d be very surprised it those gaps weren’t filled, they seem too big and too frequent. One or two here and there is understandable.
Then again, Ryanair park planes in winter if there’s no demand.
Milan and Munich do seem to me to be slowly wound down, last January there average LF's were low they would've been low even with an E175 operating them. I'm surprised by Paris CDG and Belfast City as they seem solid performers but i'm not surprised with Glasgow as Flybe seems to chop and change it.easyJet don't utilise all their aircraft all of the time in winter. At BRS they reduce frequency in January on some routes. Even Rome, a year-round stellar performer in terms of loads, drops from daily to 4 x weekly in January.
Not so sure about that. It could be a seasonal aircraft in the summer and there is also the possiblity that they could take over the NCL route from Eastern the way they are going and of course if Flybe own the aircraft ie a Q400 a reduced schedule operating out of CWL might be better for that aircraft keeping a leased aircraft at another base fully occupied. Looking at the way they are operating during winter each aircraft only operates about 3 departures a day and on some days 2 rather than the 4 in the summer. The way routes are chopped I would say the 4th air frames is further away than ever.Just hope they got something else in mind to keep 3 air frames occupied.
I think the problem for CWL is that on these routes CWL only has a small amount of frequencies so by chopping a 2 weekly frequencies off a route that only is 2 weekly means CWL loses that route for a month. I think for the airport it might have been better if they'd only chopped them down to 1 weekly but obviously the airline is thinking of it's profits. Is not prudent for Flybe to cut back in January? It's always the weakest month for travel and the main low cost airlines certainly do so. Is CWL in isolation with these January reductions or is the airline doing something similar at other airports?

I'm thinking I seen some where that BFS was flybes best performing route out of CWL. So yes I must agree why touch the BFS route.I think we maybe reading a bit too much into this. January is a crap month for all airlines and No one spends or plans a holiday for January.
The only surprising thing for me is the cuts to GLA and BFS.
