The Transdev 62 - Keighley to Ilkley then Otley & Leeds Bradford Airport service will be restarting from July 5th.

It will run a reduced two hourly service between Ilkley, Menston Station, Otley and Leeds Bradford Airport Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday buses between Otley, Pool and Leeds Bradford Airport are restarting too.

With investment being announced for Transpennine routes to-day, how is the LBA Parkway station progressing, any news?

LCC are probably waiting on a decision re the airport terminal before progressing further.

Wasn't the airport link road linked to them also?
Don't think so. As far as I know roads fall to the city to sort out, but railways (being more of a regional matter) and stations tend to fall under the WYCA. I may be wrong, and it was the Council who opted not to continue with the road, but we were told that it was the WYCA that would decide on, and fund the Parkway Station. If were them I would wait for the terminal decision. I wouldn't personally commit to the project until LCC commit to supporting their airport. I know it's their policy to do so, but in the end, actions speak louder than words, and right now written words outlining the council's support is all we have to hang on to. What's the point building a station to serve an airport that will go into decline without the terminal project being approved - unless the proposed park and ride is seen as viable with or without airport passengers.

Transdev "FlyerBuses" route changes to service 737 & 747 from August 30th.

  • The 747 direct service between Bradford and the Airport and Harrogate will continue to serve Yeadon via Rawdon Crossroads, the A65, New Road and Henshaw Lane. Kirk Lane will be served by revised service 737.
  • The 737 service from Bradford to the Airport via Shipley and Guiseley will be rerouted to run between Yeadon and Guiseley via Kirk Lane, the A65, The Green, Oxford Road, and Guiseley Morrisons. No longer serving Queensway.

Excellent. Proper service down Henshaw Lane at last. This will vastly speed up the 747 by cutting out Kirk Lane. And a proper service down to the trading estate at Guiseley as well.

Just an update on the situation with the proposed Parkway Station.
It is currently at stage 4 (of 8) which is detailed design. So I guess it is with architects and surveyors now, and we will end up with a proper design which can be considered, costed, and hopefully approved eventually. I understand that Stage 4 will take up to 12 months to complete, which sounds about right, so don't expect to hear anything more before 2021.
If I do get any further updates I will let you know.

The new Transdev Airport Services will be numbered A1, A2 and A3 and licenced to Yorkshire Coastliner.

As mentioned they are renumbering the services. The 737 becomes the new A3, whilst the 747 becomes A2 & the 757 becomes the A1

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
