The new stands will be essential if the airport is ever to reach circa 10mppa. Does the airport anticipate any problems getting the planning approved?

Planning application for western apron stands
Still awaiting the outcome of the Judicial Review though, unless I've missed something in the past week when I've been away enjoying the wilds of Dartmoor.
If the new stands are part of the major planning consents, as I believe they are, this is what the JR is seeking to challenge.
Well it Looks like the Weston apron extension is underway. They have erected a tempory fence separating the current apron and the old post office sheds.

The area concerned, an extension of the western apron, will presumably eventually feed into the piers that are part of the continutation of the western walkway in the plans.
In the meantime I suppose the plan is to use them as remote stands although I don't know whether they will be walkable to the nearest point of the current walkway, or will need bus transfer.
In one sense this work means the expansion is now under way. Let's hope the additional stands will be needed next summer.
Anyone know any more and how many Cobus 3000s remain? There was quite a fleet at one time - before the western walkway was opened.
Whilst on the subject of buses I didn't see any 'bendy buses' on car park duty today, only the standard chassis vehicles. Have the 'bendies' been disposed of?
