Re the newly released LBA BCN route, had anyone seen or heard of any publicity to promote this new route? I certainly haven't!!

I saw a post by Althams Travel on LinkedIn saying easyJet had added twice weekly Barcelona service from Leeds with more new routes to be announced soon, but the hasn’t being anything from LBA yet.

The maybe waiting as I understand easyJet still haven’t released there full winter 2025/6 programme yet. So the could be more new routes to be added across the network

Jet2 and TUI advertising hoardings both very visible at airport. Would be nice to see an EZY presence too.

Would imagine they are all signed into contracts. However with new arrivals hall, security hall & subsequent passenger walk ways, departure's lounge and re vamped departures lounge, there is plenty of new advertising space up for grabs.

If easyJet are building up presence would imagine they are in contact with LBA PR's team/ signed some contracts.

As for LBA no press release - do they know something we don't? Another route coming.

We had this question about why no publicity from LBA last time too, when they launched Palma and Malaga. The airport will agree a date with Easyjet when it will be publicised and until then, it will effectively be embargoed- except of course for those in the know who have spotted it on their website.

I'm certain it will be publicised by both LBA and Easyjet from the date when they have agreed to do so.

There's an ACC on Wednesday, so it will be interesting to see if Vince Hodder mentions it in his business update.

They always say this. It's been said since 2019, yet in 2019, jet2 managed to get 4 bases worth of slots.

easyJet is a based airline so would imagine they'll wangle some slots.

No idea what they can or could do, just saying what the papers over there are always saying and that they need a new airport.

They are building a new Airport in Lisbon due to the old one not being able to handle any further expansion.
The new Lisbon airport project involves building a new airport named Luís de Camões Airport in Alcochete, to replace the existing Humberto Delgado Airport. The new airport is expected to be operational by 2034 and will initially have two runways, with plans for expansion to four. The project is estimated to cost between €8 billion and €9 billion and will be funded through a combination of EU funds, public-private partnerships, and airport tariffs.

""It’s a fantastic destination for winter breaks for our customers from across the north-west and offers customers greater choice and exceptional value, while we always aim to make travel easy."

North West..........??? Last time I checked Leeds was located in Yorkshire ........... To me MAN & LPL are north west airports

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
