Good to see EZY strengthen their BFS program. I remember LBA was launched same time as EMA however EMA didn't last.

Also good to see EI hold their own with BHD and have a strong winter program. It's a good sign even though operations tend to be more difficult. The frequency EI offer is great, hope for a better winter season for them.

As Promised.

New route to Geneva from 2025 according to Sean M on X

Yeap the Leeds - Geneva route returns operating 1x weekly service starting from January 18th, 2025 using EasyJet Swiss Airbus A320

Saturdays - Jan 18th to Jan 25th
EZS1369 = GVA 16:45 - LBA 17:40
EZS1370 = LBA 19:20 - GVA 22:10
Sundays - Feb 2nd to Feb 23rd
EZS1369 = GVA 06:45 - LBA 07:40
EZS1370 = LBA 08:35 - GVA 11:20

This is very positive news in my book and good to see growth by EasyJet at LBA, let’s hope it continues.

And no doubt a lot cheaper than Jet2….excellent news for LBA.

If eastern make a mess of the AMS route (if it happens) the orange crew on this route would work well esp those visiting the Netherlands , KLM still obviously better for connecting flights.
Amsterdam, belfast int, Geneva, a paris route and perhaps test the water on 1 or 2 routes ie LIS, MAD.
Something similar to what easy did at BHX to start with esp as its going to be 2 years before our terminal is fully op.

@LBA4EVER totally agree there. I actually said the same re AMS to someone on Saturday. That said I am not totally convinced the T3 thing is about op for KL to AMS, but as ever where T3 are concerned I am happy to be disappointed. I think some competition on AMS is needed to ensure prices come down, we often see posts about how much cheaper KL are from other airports - especially where they have competition and U2 are that ideal operator

I find that point to point KL are often (not always) cheaper from MAN but for connecting flights theres less of a difference.

If we go same way as Southend, Southampton & Newcastle without based aircraft, but gradually building up them in the future.

My bet is that we get 2-3x weekly services on the ever popular beach routes to Alicante, Malaga, Faro & Palma, only because as they will fill the aircraft quiet easily .
Amsterdam is quite possible too, Maybe 1x daily to start with.

I don’t think they’ll touch Paris what with having both Ryanair & Jet2 serving that market currently with up to 8x weekly flights.

I've travelled through the paris Beauvais airport with ryanair which by the way is a 1hr drive away from the paris suburbs, from what a saw it was a real mixed bag of pax but mainly young travellers with just one small bag, rucksacks etc this is probably due to flights been cheap due to ryanair ops and regular buses to paris, so i feel there is a market still for easyjet to one of the paris airports that are located nearer to the city than the Beauvais one.

Not sure how great these EZY times are for skiers / getting too and from resorts. however, its great to see them expand a little, even if it is for x6 week only (like Balkan with SOF). Hopefully they can extend the season out if bookings prove well. Maybe they're using it as a slot sitting exercise in GVA. Hopefully get some more from EZY. I swear when they operated GVA last time it was about x5 weekly.

Not really, just a hunch, but equally their ongoing commitment/expansion at LBA, however small, shows/points to something

If I’m be honest I think the EasyJet EU based beach fleet will be next to turn up at LBA. They will easily sellout flights to the PMI, ALC, AGP & FAO.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
