The Wolfpack are playing at Lamport stadium in Toronto. They are also sponsored by Air Transat so I doubt the RCAF will be flying them around. I would also object to my taxes going to the airforce flying a rugby team for away games

The information I was given was that the Canadian crew are participating in some form of military event or service at York. I can't imagine for one minute that the Royal Canadian Airforce would fly transatlantic to bring over a 2nd rate Toronto Rugby League team for a match - even if they were playing here, although I admit it did cross my mind too, fleetingly, and perhaps they could have hitched a lift if the RCAF were coming over anyway, lol.

Surprised it didn't go into Linton then..... maybe Linton closed at the desired travelling times.....

I would have thought they would have had another go before heading off to MAN - it's not like the winds were particularity strong today and it is pretty much all headwind and very little crosswind. Maybe the fuel situation precluded another attempt and therefore they had to divert.

Yeah I was thinking the same, they made the decision pretty soon after the go-around. The aircraft G-LSAK back inbound to LBA from MAN as LS258W. Unsure if the passengers are still on board but either way its always bad PR when a/c have to divert on what is just a fairly average day for weather.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
