Police aircraft G-POLV been circling right next to the airport for the last 2 hours.

A mix of the Police helicopter from West Yorkshire and fixed wing aircraft from Doncaster, aided and abetted by the Greater Manchester helicopter, have actually been circling since 1.30 pm and continued into the night, with a presence for at least 12 hours. They were circling St Helena's Caravan Park opposite None Go Byes Farm on Otley Old Road, where a major Police Incident started at 1pm. This was attended by not only Police, but by Fire, Armed Response Units, Bomb Disposal and Trained Negotiators, whilst residents of the park were evacuated.

According to reports the incident is still on-going and there’s a standoff between the Police and the suspect. The Police aviation presence appears to have gone now.
