Good morning,

Can anybody advise where the b738 j2 is to parktoday please

The delivery flight has been delayed. She is now not due into Leeds until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. I guess anyone who's on this forum and works for Jet2 will be able to update further with times and flight numbers.

Meanwhile Newcastle based Boeing 737-300QC, G-CELO positioned into Leeds earlier this morning as LS031E. She is going into the Multiflight hanger for some Maintaince.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

G-LSAK is due back to Leeds today from Berlin at 15:30 this is the RAK airways one

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I did wonder which aircraft was positioning in from Berlin this afternoon...! Do we know why G-LSAK is on her way back, as I believed she was on lease until May 2012...?!

Jet2 do seem to be having problems with G-GDFF.... I just want to see whether she has winglets fitted and what livery she's in...!!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

G-GDFF does not have winglets and I been told it's in jet2 holidays livery.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Oh great. Looks like they went for the cheaper paint job....

Never mind, at least the fleet has got a little bit younger.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Is there any possibility of GGDFF getting winglets? And I'm very surprised of it getting the holiday livery after what was posted on the other thread..

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Lbia

I no ou don't like the holidays livery, I think it looks quite good but I think what makes it look cheap is the 'package holidays you can trust' logo across the body. I think jet2 need a good logo on the tail rather than jet2.com lettering, looks too much like they have copyed easyjet.

What like the number 2 (picture below) they had on some of the aircraft.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It's not that I don't like the holidays livery (I think it looks great on GDFD but ghastly on the 757's) I just prefer the normal Jet2 livery. I understand why they are adding aircraft with the holidays livery - it is an essential part of the business. However on each flight typically only 20-30 passengers are holidays passengers, just seems a bit silly to me that all the other passengers have booked on Jet2.com. Like I said, I think it looks nice on the 737, and I understand that it is dramatically improving brand awareness.

The original livery was changed for several reasons, no where on the aircraft did it state the company's website and the tail is the most visible part so was the natural place to change. Secondly, the company was founded as Channel Express trading as 'Jet2' - there were several legal issues with the CEO's ex wife so it made sense to change the branding on the aircraft to 'Jet2.com' to match the rebranding from Channel Express to Jet2.com.

I understand the "Friendly low fares" which is scribbled down the aircraft will eventually be replaced by the more professional USP's of Jet2 - as seen on G-LSAI.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Well if you want to be technical, the Jet2Holidays livery on the B752's is not totally the same as the livery on the B738's. As many have mentioned before, the sun on the tail of the aircraft has smoother rays and doesn't continue off the the tail, like on the Allegiant aircraft and on G-LSAL/AM. If you look closely and compare the two, the this is visible.

In terms of the "Friendly Low Fares" slogan, I think, personally, it was a bit of a botch job. The fact that Jet2 have changed their slogan from; "Low Fares In The North" to "Friendly Low Fares" and now "Arrive Happy" people are not receiving a concise message. Also, if you compare the "Friendly Low Fares" text varies from aircraft to aircraft and is in different fonts from aircraft to aircraft.

In light of this, I think it's good news Lbia, that they are sporting the messages; "Points For Free Flights" & "Great Flight Times" on one side and "22KG Bag Allowance" & "Allocated Seats" on the other. To my knowledge; AA, AB, AI and AK currently sport these titles.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Just watched 2 large flocks of birds in 'V' formation transit LBA from East to West 12.45-12.55, god job there we no arrivals at the time. Not sure what they were, or if they were the famous tarn geese!
anyone at LBA spot them on finals!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I knew things have gone quite aircraft movements wise at LBA this winter season. But I didn't think people would resort to this type of spotting,

The only birds I normally spot are the female type when out and about.LOL...

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It happens more or less every morning and early evening !!
The Airport are well aware of the local bird movements and can eadily avoid conflict as they have done for many years. They look magnificent when they formation fly together.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

And to get this back onto Subject of aircraft.

Jet2.com, Boeing 737-300, G-CELF departed LBA about an hour amd a half ago as EXS031E heading for Belgrade. She will join up with sisters G-CELE and G-CELY which are already down there.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
