Tomorrow Thursday Neil Diamond is performing at the FDA in Leeds. Assuming he and his entourage are flying in there might be some large fancy jet dropping in before long. On the other hand, he may be coming by road from wherever he last performed.

It is starting to look as though we are going to be seeing mainly these 3 aircraft doing our repatriation flights - the Freebird A320, plus Blue Panorama and Travel Service 737 800s.

This evening at 1755 hrs, a bi-plane flew over my house in Cookridge before turning right on to a runway 32 glide slope. I can't remember the last time I saw a bi-plane at LBA - they were common as muck when I first moved near to the airport. Does anyone know what this aircraft was? It was only small - similar in size to a Pitts Special I think - which of course was the type flown years ago at the air shows by Jet2 boss Phillip Meeson.

RAF Yeadon very active this wet and damp, windy Wednesday

2x RAF Tornado GR4, ZG779 & ZA459 just did a ILS missed approach to runway 32. call-signs respectively were 'Voodoo02' & "Voodoo01"

Did anyone get the id of the single RAF Red Arrow BAe Hawk T1 that did the same earlier this afternoon around 3ish?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
I've added a link to Postimages.org as an alternative option for posting images here on Forums4airports. You can continue to post images with us but for prolific posters who love to share lots of images, this might be a better option for you.
All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
