The RAF's "Battle of Britain Memorial Flight" Dakota (DC3) will be dropping into LBA Controlled Airspace this Sunday, May 6th. Its been booked to do a flypast over the Village of Farsley (West Leeds) at around 15:35, so she may well make an appearance over airfield as well.

The RAF BBMF DC3 flyapst on Sunday over Farsley has now been cancelled for the following excuse.

With respect this frequency spacing has been on the agenda for aircraft operators for a couple of years.
The aircraft operator should have made provision to upgrade the avionics as there are lots of 8.33 frequencies coming on line now.
Our Grumman is done and our Cherokee is at Bagby having a new box fitted.

Is this just a Leeds thing then or is it a national change?..If its national then I would be very suprised if BBMF havent updated. If its just a Leeds thing then they won`t bother doing an update and just refuse any requests in this area. Love to know what the reason is..

According to a previous poster on the ATC thread a few weeks ago, the actual frequencies haven't changed. It's just the spoken and written notation that is now using 5 khz to denote 8.33 khz spacing, if that makes any sense (I barely understand this myself). So for example, radar is still 134.575 MHz but is spoken as 134.580.

If quik123 or radar are in the building, they should be able to explain more clearly than I !

We get the charters next season as Huddersfield Town stay in the Premiership league.
Thought every cloud was supposed to have a silver lining! Joking apart credit where credit is due. HTAFC had three horrible final fixtures and to pick up a point from each of those first two, much as it pains me greatly to say this, they deserve their 2nd season with the elite of English football.

I wouldn't mind betting they will beat your lot lbaspotter this weekend to end on a real high!!! Will certainly keep the charters and bizzies moving next season.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
