Does AP-BGP have a different tail colour scheme?

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

2 x Thomson airways at LBA this afternoon.

Boeing 757-200, G-OOBB will be coming inbound on the last of this summer's Corfu, TOM91T charter service and will then position out empty back to Corfu.

Meanwhile it looks like Airbus A320-200, G-OOPP will be coming in empty from Belfast Int'l as TOM59M to operate the first of this winters Tenerife outbound charter TOM3568 service...

Nice that we're getting the A320 and not the 738's this Winter.

Hi

This week only saw an A320 on the Tenerife service due to it be operated by the Belfast based unit and been the first outbound service of the winter season and Belfast last inbound of the summer season. She positioned in empty then operated out to Tenerife with LBA pax. On the return sector she carried pax back to Belfast as normal. Hence they did'nt have to run all the way down to TFS with an Empty Aircraft.

Next week and for the rest of the winter season, Thomson's will be using a London Luton based B737-800WL on both there weekly Sharm el sheikh and Tenerife services.

This due to the fact that the A320 has not got the legs to run direct to Sharm el Sheikh from LBA as far as i understand but it can make the canaries. Where as the B738's can do it direct non stop.

So yesterdays A320 was a one-off sorry to say and the B738's will a return on wednesday.

by the way the a320 and the a319 can fly to sharm el sheikh because easyjet fly from manchester to sharm el sheikh on an a319 and a320. Thomson are useing an 737-800 is because it can carry more passengers and can take off from smaller runways

Yep, Just said that Chitty. Hence the reason I said the A320 have'nt got the legs to make it to Sharm el Sheikh direct from LBA. I did'nt say the A320 could not make it from other UK Airports though.

Hi

FR9393 GERONA/BARCELONA 1935
FR9296 BARCELONA 1950 EXPECTED 19:45

Dont know why this is showing up on the LBA live Arrivals. But it looks like ryanair are operating an extra inbound Gerona service this evening with Boeing 737-800 EI-EBI.

Meanwhile the new winter Barcelona service has also been operated today by one of the current based Boeing 737-800's, EI-EBC

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

it looks like there will be some flights on xmas day this year there will be the klm flights (6.00am KL1540 LBA to AMS and the 9.50am KL1545 AMS to LBA) and (10.45am KL1546 LBA to AMS and the 8.45pm KL1551 AMS to LBA) there also will be the PIA flight (2.00pm PK775 ISB to LBA and the 7.00pm PK776 LBA TO ISB)

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I believe there will be four Jeddah flights this week, operated by a based B757-200. The first one is at 9.45 tomorrow morning, with 215 passengers booked.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

That will explain the departure to knowhere showing on the airport live departures board. You would think by now that this board could cope with Jeddah as a destination, but obviously not! This problem comes up every year and they still haven't done anything about it! Frustrating or what???

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It seems stange that Jeddah has not appeared on the departure board this time. I think it did last year.

We live in hope. :coco:

No need to hope, it is already built. Just a case of choosing the right moment to launch it.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
