Hello calling South Yorkshire - Barnsley Holidays :)

The Stobart ATR-72 this lunchtime is EI-GPN which turns out to be ex G-FBXC and was only acquired in mid-January this year
Is this a first visit or did it appear while I was on my European travels?

Hi Trevsmiff. I have just come back from my winter holiday to Rotherham ( I don't like to travel far!).

Yes this was a first visit to LBA.

Be.350 Shadow ZZ418(Serpent 28) entering the hold (0900) prior to carrying out ILS and go-around

At the same time Lear Jet 35 C-GEJD is lining up runway 32 for departure to Keflavic, first leg of his homeward trip to Canada

Phenom 300 D-CHLR(Air Bremen 9K) being vectored onto ILS, runway 32(0940) inbound from Luton

Taking up a hold to South of LBA as RVR has dropped to 400m

Weird weather, as here in Cookridge, just 2 miles away, it is clear blue sky. I imagine it is fog climbing out of the Wharfe Valley and sinking down over the airport, not helped by the tarn next to the runway which sometimes seems to develop its own fog bank.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
