Why would they use Doncaster in preference to LBA? I assume Leeds is open and fitting in around other traffic isn't an issue.
Watching him on radar earlier he was doing visual circuits at Doncaster, so the longer runway is always useful. Just looked again as I type this and he is still in the circuit at Doncaster.

Plus jet aircraft doing circuits at Leeds in very unusual, so as not to annoy the "locals". And we don't want that do we???????

Bring back the Fokker F-27 from Belfast, used to a visual circuit most nights in the summer as did the Dublin Ryanair from memory, used to come right over the top of my folks house then hard left turn for late finals 32

We used to get the Jersey European Fk27 and Janes Aviation HS748 on the downwind approach for 32 over my house in Pudsey!

Perhaps when they’re overflying GALBA territory they should just switch off their engines and glide in. Problem solved!

Had the new flight routings that were proposed been approved it would have brought about constant descent flight plans, so arriving aircraft would have just about done exactly that. But of course it was rejected , largely due to complaints . Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
Of course, the reality is that these people don't want aircraft over them at all. They would object if LBA was a glider base only!

PA-24 Comanche N673SA joining zone at Eccup(1205) to join left base for 14, inbound from Great Massingham

To collect SR.20 N369AL, which has been on maintenance with Mutliflight

It's Grant Schapps that we need on board. The old Transport Minister was at LBA often. I don't remember the new one going anywhere much even between lockdowns.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
