Does LBA have a Night Noise Quota System? Bristol Airport, for example, does have such a system which is based upon that at LHR and other major airports in the UK.

The BRS Master Plan describes it thus:

The restrictions specify a night period (23.00-07.00) during which time the noisiest types of aircraft may not be scheduled to land or take off. In addition, between 23.30 and 06.00, the night quota period, aircraft movements are restricted by a noise quota limit. Aircraft count against the noise quota according to their quota count (QC) classification. The quota count itself is related to the noise classification of aircraft as set out in a formal notice published by the CAA on a regular basis.

Is there anything similar at LBA?

Yeap LBA sure does have a Noise Action Plan For a very breif summery which is on the LBA website here: http://www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk/about-the-airport/airport-noise

You can also download the following PDF which lists the full details of the night & noise action plans here: http://www.leedsbradfordairport.co....rmally-approved-by-defra-on-4-august-2014.pdf

And here is the chart for the noise preferred routings for LBA departures:

I knew I heard something :) was driving at the time and couldn't be sure it wasn't departing traffic in the rain and cloud

TNT BAe 146F, EC-LMR arrived in from Shannon this moring again wishbone Gee-Gees for the big one at York today as TA1476 from Shannon whilst BMI Regional Embraer 145, G-EMBI also positioned in from Bristol as BMR9461.

Just for information a turboprop landed around 0030 this morning and a B737 of Jet 2 took off not long after. Both on runway 14 which will have allowed our Otley residents to sleep well.

If anything the Horsforth residents get a far worse deal with landing traffic around the clock most days. Granted, take off traffic is noisier but far more people live underneath the 14 departure track than the 32 departure track.

An Intersky ATR72 OE-LIB took off at around 1000 am this morning so that is probably what arrived last night.

Can't have been the intersky as that came in around 10am from Freidrickshafen as ISK8709. It the operated Leeds - Isle of Man - Leeds before going back to Freidrickshafen as ISK8710. I belive the bmi regional Embraer 145, G-EMBI arrived in at 00:30 operating the returning Castleford Tigers RLFC charter from Perpignan.

Thanks for the Info ! I saw the Embraer land as the turboprop woke me up so I opened the curtains to see if I could identify it and the 145 landed as I was peering out. Maybe it was a King Air but is sounded larger than that. Maybe I will find out what it was later in the week when I go to Multiflight Handling.

RAF Yeadon been very active this week.

RAF Leeming based 100sq Hawks have appeared doing ILS runs in the evening with XX346 "Private06" appearing on Tuesday at 20:42 and XX258 "Pirate 12" on Wednesday at 18:44. Meanwhile RAF Brize Norton based RAF Boeing C-17a Globemaster III, ZZ178 paid a flying visit to LBA earlier this afternoon using callsign "Ascot882"

Yet another bmi regional Embraer Regional Jet due into LBA again this weekend. This time its been chartered out by the Leeds Rhinos RLFC as they are to play Catalan Dragons in the Super League Super 8'

It will depart LBA 09:15 as BMR8206 Saturday morning heading out to Perpignan, it will then return into LBA for around 00:35 Sunday morning as BMR8207

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
