Must be bad weather at Manchester.
EI-DPH(Ryaniar 21TB), Bergamo - Manchester, holding over LBA awaiting to divert in.
Looking on radar the KLM Amsterdam - Manchester flight is currently heading towards Morcambe !!!!!

Aircraft now landing at Manchester but still delays, hence
G-LSAI(Channex 12F) Heraklion - Manchester on finals for 32, diverting into LBIA(1940).

The bad weather now seems to be approaching Leeds, aircraft taking of 32, making right hand turn outs.

Weird business this weather. Not half an hour ago the LBA ATIS was reporting CAVOK in spite of a pile of cloud just to the southwest and the sky being rather black ! Does the transmissometer only measure cloud directly above the airfield, I wonder ?

RAF C-17 ZZ175(Ascot 820) just leaving hold to carry out ILS and overshoot runway 32(1535).

He requested 4 approaches. Here's pic i got whilst he was in the LBA overhead hold.

Thanks quick. Not much use for recording the cloud sitting on the 14 threshold where only Cat 1 is available. Not a new problem for Leeds Bradford, mind you.

The Avanti was M-ONTE, new aircraft replacing King Air 90 M-ONTI.

As of tomorrow the airport looks noticeable quieter! Thought it was end October when it slows down?

Jet2 traditionally operate second rotations to Spain and Portugal in the afternoons during the peak season. Most of these have now stopped as we're into October. Some Greek flights have also now finished, e.g. The Wednesday Zakynthos. Several of the long distance flights (Canaries and Turkey) which operated in the afternoon are now scheduled for the morning so the afternoons will be generally a little quieter.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
