Nice one Masere! Looks like you had a good day out. Forums4airports - Leeds Bradford's very own 'Bigman' has been down that neck of the woods over the last week or so. I'm surprised he hasn't posted anything about his visit.

Thanks Aviador, I always have a great time at LHR it's the highlight of any trip to London. There were strong crosswinds for a while as you can tell from the Embraer pic. I bet some of the passengers thought they were gonna be landing on the grass!

Or maybe they even thought they were landing at Leeds.

Some nice videos there Galaxy! I was just wondering whether the person who recorded these was on top of the plane each time when the flight was being grounded!

LOL…that’s Hilarious

Great pictures! I've often had planes landing or taking off over my head when i've stuck in traffic on the M25! it's probably the only part of that motorway i like!

I've traveled from Birmingham to Brighton a few times and passed both Heathrow and Gatwick in one journey. Sadly I don't live in north Birmingham or else I'd get to go past BHX too :)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
