I'm not sure that would be a good thing as they could cancel each other out ? Lufthansa will of course have some interlining passengers whereas any new Flybe service serving MUC would be only point to point.

Flybe Boosts Summer Schedule From Birmingham
21 January 2014
Leading regional airline adds extra flights with larger aircraft as part of extensive 2014 Summer schedule.
Flybe, Europe’s largest independent regional airline, has announced a number of additional flights from Birmingham Airport boosting the frequency on three of its most popular European routes namely Hanover, Milan-Malpensa and Stuttgart creating new double daily flights effective for travel from March 30th, 2014 as well as an extra Saturday service to Stuttgart.
In addition to these extra flights, the airline will also be utilising larger 88-seat Embraer 175 jet aircraft on the majority of its Hanover and Stuttgart services previously operated by the smaller 78-seat Q400 turboprop.
In total, Flybe will operate up to 680 flights a week to and from Birmingham on 24 routes for summer including its recently announced daily service to Newquay. The airline also reports plans are well advanced for even more new routes with a significant announcement expected shortly.

Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer comments: “We’re pleased to be offering our passengers the added choice of extra flights from Birmingham. The move highlights our commitment of listening to our customers’ needs. These new flights also reflect the increasing focus that Flybe is putting on Birmingham Airport.”
Paul Kehoe, Birmingham Airport’s CEO, said: “Adding this extra capacity on key European routes from Birmingham is great news for Midlands’ business and leisure travellers. We’re very pleased with this decision by Flybe to offer more choice to Hanover, Milan and Stuttgart, and look forward to working with the airline to release more great news soon that will benefit the region’s air traveller even further.”
Adds Mr Simmons: “We expect our increased services to prove especially beneficial to business passengers needing more travel options so that they can manage their time more efficiently. We are continually looking for ways in which we can expand and improve our network and look forward to announcing soon some exciting new Flybe routes from Birmingham very shortly.”
especially with Ryanair also running BHX-OPO
user001 said:Re Oporto,
Apologies as Im sure I had read on another forum very recently that Oporto had re-appeared as a route from BHX on the Ryanair website.
Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer says: “Today’s news reinforces the increasing emphasis that Flybe is putting on its operations at Birmingham Airport. We’re obviously delighted to offer these additional seven new routes. Our decision to support the region by basing an extra three aircraft here is not only a vote of confidence in the local economy but also in the strong relationship we have built with the airport team.”
Continues Mr Simmons: “Flybe is strongly committed to supporting the UK’s regional economies and the London-centric media coverage of the aviation debate all too often neglects the rest of the country. By substantially increasing services from the UK’s second largest city, Flybe is demonstrating it realises the importance of maintaining and developing easy and affordable choices with convenient multi frequency regional schedules. We believe that our future here in Birmingham is bright and we remain committed to continue to play an important role in the development of airline passenger services to and from Birmingham and the Midlands.”
