More likely to go MAN than BHX, it all depends on why they are not selling EMA after 31.12.21.
It cant be a MAG dispute assuming any deal with RYR cover all 3 airports ?
But they’ve not said anything about pulling out of EMA currently and with them being a huge operator there then it would be a massive loss. Unless you work at Ryanair or EMA then we don’t know what’s going on. We shouldn’t speculate until the facts are in.

if there’s no flights beyond the 31st December they might be doing some messing about with the schedules. Ryanair tend to release flights a few months in advance.

This happened at LBA last year where there was no flights bookable and sparked speculation that they’d pulled out but not long after the rumours all flights were back on sale.

So just give it time and know the facts before making assumptions and speculations.

Ryanair seem to have pulled 2 routes from East Midlands: Girona and Ibiza

Ryanair have pulled another 5 routes from sale at East Midlands

They are: Mahon, Pisa, Reus, Carcassonne and Rome Ciampino.

A few Ryanair routes that were removed from East Midlands have re-appeared on the app though no flights are currently bookable

Carcassonne
Mahon
Murcia
Pisa
Reus

Unsure but according to the twitter user it’s a new route.

New route to Marseille, Mon and Fri from 2nd May.
Good for EMA of course but I’m very frustrated that BHX was unable to secure this route. connections from BHX to the south of France have been decimated of late with the loss of Avignon, Toulouse, and most glaringly, Nice remains unserved despite it being on Jet2’s network.

Anyone have any idea what’s happening with Ryanair for W24, current schedules look very thin from EMA with no flights what so ever on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, currently only showing -

Alicante - 7x weekly
Dublin - 3x weekly
Faro - 2x weekly
Fuerteventura - 2x weekly
Gran Canaria - 1x weekly
Knock - 2x weekly
Krakow - 2x weekly
Lanzarote - 3x weekly
Malaga - 4x weekly
Prague - 2x weekly
Tenerife - 5x weekly
Riga - 2x weekly
Wroclaw - 2x weekly

its been reported that Ryanair are planning to move crew and 2 aircraft from East Mildands to Birmingham so it might well happen from winter 2024?

Currently showing 4 aircraft needed for Monday,Friday, Saturday and Sunday but with some long periods on the ground between flights. As mentioned no EMA based flights on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays. So leaves atleast 2 spare aircraft every day

I said a few months ago that within 10-12 years.EMA will become a permanent cargo airport.Theres no improvement from tui or jet2 nor Ryanair.I expect Tui to go back to Dca plus jet2 aswell.

Personally I don’t see Ryanair operations at EMA downsizing anymore than currently rumoured because they have their pilot training centre, Which they own outright and have plans to add more flight sims But it also better for the customer that they do stay as it stop TUI and Jet2 from charging more.

For EMA to become a just cargo airport would be a little stupid because obviously at some point Birmingham will run out of stands/space which means people will need to travel up north to Manchester etc and if Doncaster does open back up I think only TUI (most of Fly4 EMA base are ex Doncaster crew which leaves Fly4 short of crew for their EMA operations) and maybe Wizzair would return but they seem to settle into LBA very nicely.

That I very much doubt, TUI have 6 based aircraft up from 5 last year and 3 the year before (granted DSA pushed that) Jet2 have 8 up from 7 last year, just a shame to see Ryanair’s lack luster offerings this winter, everything on sale currently for S25 is either keeping the same frequencies or increasing, although I know can change at any time with Ryanair.

So far on offer for S25 compared to (S24)
Alicante - 15 (15)
Barcelona (BCN) - 8 (8)
Dublin - 13 (13)
Faro - 7 (7)
Fuerteventura - 1 (1)
Gran Canaria - 1 (1)
Lanzarote - 3 (3)
Malaga - 12 (11)
Palma - 13 (13)
Tenerife - 5 (5)

Currently showing as the need for 5 aircraft but like you have said a fair amount of destinations are not on sale yet.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
