This is the news everybody has been dreading. Thankfully this time it ended without any serious incident. Surely the time has come to regulate the use of these machines before something more serious happens?

In addition, officials could make it mandatory for drones to run geo-fencing software - that would prevent them flying in restricted areas.

The sooner this is implemented, the better in my opinion.

Another idea would be to have them all installed with a transponder. I'm not sure on the practicalities of doing that though.

There seems to be plenty of inaction so far as limiting the use of drones, yet the minute one brings down an aircraft drones will be banned for sure.

Flying out to jfk on BA173 on Jan 7th does anyone know what the loads are like on this flight?

British Airways will have some disruption over the next month to many of it's flights due to the 787 Rolls Royce engine issues.

BA service from LHR-DOH will be cancelled until 7th January and passengers booked Qatar Airways flights.

Routes such as Abu Dhabi, New York, Los Angeles and other 787 routes will also be effected by cancellations retimings and substitute aircraft.

My sister is flying next week San Francisco to Manchester via Heathrow with American/BA. Does anyone know if she'll have to recheck her hold luggage for the flight to MAN or will it go straight through to MAN?

Specifically tell the check in agents at SFO to check it through all the way to Manchester. They will usually ask but not always.

If it’s all one booking the bag will be checked through to MAN so she won’t have to see it a thing LHR. If it’s two separate bookings she will have to collect it at LHR and recheck it in at T5 for the flight to MAN.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
